Special Halloween Announcement (The Reveal)
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. Aside from Thanksgiving and Christmas, two holidays I always look forward to because of the fellowship I get to spend with friends and family back home, Halloween is next in line. I've always had a fascination with the macabre, the creepy, the bump-in-the-night type atmosphere, so naturally Halloween is very appealing to me. I love the endless horror movie marathons, I love "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
However, I'm not a huge fan o...

Jackson Takes a Trip - Now available!
This story, Jackson Takes a Trip, is a novella that I originally included in my short story collection, The Teachers’ Lounge, which I published under the pseudonym Dan Dawkins. It was a tie-in collection of horror and suspense stories that accompanied my novel, Regret, also published as Dawkins. If you’re wondering why those two works were published under a pen name, please feel free to check out a blog post I wrote on the subject here: http://www.mrobertsonjr.com/blog-news/2012/1/31/why-i-pu...

Some reflections, and a story.
Let's get something straight. Some of you have been to my website before, you've read other blog posts, you've looked around at this little ecosystem of rambling I've dabbled with over the past year or so. Others of you, this is your first visit--You've ended up here by accident, perhaps, or clicked a link and before you knew what was happening you were seeing my face at the top of the screen. Some of you just followed the directions from a tweet or a Facebook post and well, you know the rest...

Rough Draft - Now available!
When three of the world’s most prominent horror writers are viciously blackmailed, they are left with no choice but to abandon their comfortable lifestyles and take up seclusion in a tiny cabin in the mountains of Colorado, just on the outskirts of a mysteriously deserted mining town.
As the three trapped writers work together, struggling to understand and meet the demands of their blackmailers, they soon realize that they aren’t alone. There’s something else out there in the woods with them—s...

Okay folks, here it is. The first real, in your face bit of info about my newest novel, Rough Draft, coming out later this month. Jason Collins over at Simple Times Photography has once again outdone himself, and produced a brilliant image. What do you guys think?

New Short Story -- DAY CARE
So while I was working on the newest novel, I got an idea for a short story that wouldn't go away. So I wrote it. Seemed like a good enough idea. I'm glad I did, because not only did I write what I think is one of the most incredibly gross scenes I've ever produced, but my good friend and cover artist, Jason Collins, over at Simple Times Photography, produced one of the creepiest peices of cover-art ever. I mean seriously... look at this thing. I hope you all enjoy!
Jason, a newly single...

Why Apps are definitely coming to Apple TV (I think)
Aside from reading and writing, I'm also a huge geek/nerd. I love technology, and in the eyes of some probably spend way too much of my hard earned money on tech toys. But, what's the point of life if you can't do things you enjoy? That's what I tell myself each time I swipe the credit card.
I'm the definition of an Apple Fan Boy. Certified and card-carrying. So naturally I was glued to my computer screen watching six different live-blogs of Apple's media event...
