Debating on group
So I’ve been debating back and forth on something. I’d love other opinions whether you’re a writer yourself, or a reader of my work. You don’t have to be either to gimme a thought. I’ll over explain so it hopefully makes more sense and gives more information to help me with your thoughts.
Some may remember that I’d gotten opinions before on where to build a place to chat about my writing outside of FB. A more group oriented deal. I was back and forth with reddit and Discord specifically.

The struggles
I just figured out what may be the real reason I struggle with writing Discovery & Deception. Anyone who follows my writing count posts will have seen that I rarely hit 1K in the story when I write, and even more rare is going over that. Usually I finish one every 3-4 months. This may go past that number. Now, to be fair I do also admit that things have been tough around me lately.
But, it’s more than that.
Yes, many days I’m lucky lately to get a full free hour of writing in. Especially...

Already thinking on next writing project
Also because as I outline the Sorceress series, I feel why it meant such a big deal to me so thinking I want to pursue it. A part of me might also really just want to dive into another large world. I mean there are five books in the world that I wrote back in the day. I have a lot of places, characters, and beings/animals that I came up with. Demons, animals, realms, cities.
As I outline the story I am going back and forth in my notes to make sure I chronicle the characters and even add new ...

Freaky scene from Savage Lands
Bad scene. Baaaadddd. Hurtling through open window is icky. Shivers. I have a fear of heights, and thinking about falling out of an open window is one of those things always in my mind. Excerpt from Savage Lands as I edit.
Dorn stretched his arm out. He slipped on the edge of the floor as it opened into nothing. The dust under the soles of his shoes turned the floor to ice. He grunted as his fingers closed around the hem of Sawyer’s jeans near his ankle.
Dorn had no floor to grab, no w...

Going to be working on Property of the Pack
I forgot to mention this last week in my newsletter, but I’m going to be working on Property of the Pack this week. Since it’s not a main part of the story world for the Dark Moon Dynasty Universe, and it’s more of a companion story to show a bit more of the development between Devin and Bianca, I’m not making a big fuss.
Also because this one is a bit more “erotica,” and how it sounds – property of the pack. Showing the pack taking interest in Bianca, and just that night pretty much.
Whe...

Progression of a story
I completely forgot to mention my follow the creation series in the last blog. Yes, I am fully aware I haven’t posted the next in that. Don’t even have it written up. I usually rarely have prewritten posts done. I do things as I have time, I forget a lot, and life gets in the way. Life got in the way in the past month or so? So I focused more on my life and my partner needing me than everything else. I wanted to be there for her and it made a lot of things go by the wayside.
So I do have to d...

War of the Lycaen Chapter One and updates
Recently I decided to update the theme on my site. I really loved the one that I was using, but noticed if I used my regular menu on the homepage, it messed up. Many themes these days aren’t built for writers who wanna link all their book pages. Especially if there are more than 40 books. Yeah. I know.
A lot.
No, but seriously, I wrote out all my titles on a page to download here – https://kimberlysueiverson.files.wordpress.com/2021/03/books-written-by-kim-iverson-3.pdf – and suddenly I w...

Follow the creation series
At the end of the blog posts, I was going to keep track of all the posts in this series. Then I realized it may be much easier to do this as a full post. The index at the bottom was getting long, it was a lot to link to. This way when I (if I do) do more of these ideas later on, you could find them. And I could. Because if I pursued one, I’d love to be able to come back to what I was thinking about. I will label each at the top, then do the tree. The next idea will be similar. So they’re all...

Narrowing down the idea
In the first part of this, I mentioned having a dream that inspired the [potential] idea for a story. Dream that turns into story idea – follow my creation of this story With that post, I mostly just left it vague, general, and all over the place. I was talking about questions to ask, ideas to follow, where we could go. Or I technically. You if you wanted to play along.
So now in this post I’m going to once again go along a path of questions, but I will let those others percolate in the backg...

Cheyenne
Rather than always posting to my socials, here’s some fun pics of Cheyenne. She is a Shih Tzu. Harassing her while I’m working on this outline. That hair! She needs to be my stylist.
I’m trying to outline a story I’ve had done for years, but always put off rewriting. Because yes it needs a total rewrite. Not just an edit. Why? I’d have to completely overhaul 99.9% of the sentences and story itself so why edit when I’m rewriting anyway? So I’m just rewriting it with all my knowledge a...
