The Soul Mate Tree: Never Give Up On Love
Today is release day for the next installment in the incredible Soul Mate Tree saga:
Never Give Up on Love.
By Maggie Mundy
I am old, I am ancient, my purpose is clear
To give those who are needy a treasure so dear.
They who come to my roots, touch my bark, stroke my leaves
Find the soul of their lives if they but believe.
When I call and you listen, your prize will be great
If your heart remains open and you don’t hesitate.
Do you yearn? Be you lonely? Is your time yet at hand?
Reach for me and I’ll give to you. I’m yours to command.
For your trust, for your faith, keep my secrets untold
And I’ll gift you forever, to have and to hold.
Blurb:
Sometimes you want to die, but it’s not meant to be. Vincent became a vampire in 1847. He fights to keep humans safe from rogue vampires, but can never find love. One thing makes him go on and not find a way to die. The Soul Mate Tree saved his life with its shade and showed him a woman in the future who would need his help and show him love. He could be more than the bloodsucker he had become.
In 2015, Adele is a vampire hunter by night and a photographer by day. She has never allowed love into her life as it would only complicate things. Then she meets Vincent, and the attraction is instant.
Vincent must try and convince Adele to love him while they both fight off rogue vampires?
How will she cope when she realizes the man she has fallen in love with, is what she has been trained to kill.
Excerpt:
She clipped another stake onto her belt just in case. As she got closer, Adele saw a man at the base of the tree. She couldn’t make out his face with the way he angled his body away from her.
He groaned as if in pain as the lights around the tree intensified. It must be a power surge or something she supposed. Maybe the poor guy was being electrocuted. She tried to remember her first aid.
“Are you hurt?” She called out. The man didn’t react and then the branches came down and covered him. That was weird. It was like the tree was alive or something. She didn’t want to leave someone hurt and in need of help and moved the branches aside. The guy was gone. She really was losing the plot. Maybe she had imagined him. As she moved away from the tree, she heard a whisper.
“Trust me, Adele. He will find you when you need him.”

A new look – Requiem for Poseidon
My short story, A Requiem for Poseidon has just gotten a new cover:
A Requiem for Poseidon
Heavenly Wars 1.5
As war rumbled through the heavens, the seas also boiled with battle. Poseidon was one of the first to succumb. Now the alliance of evil gods turn their sights on the Inuit pantheon.
Barely surviving the initial strike, the goddess Sedna seeks the sanctuary of the oceans and her old friend Jormungandr. She knows the Norse World Serpent isn’t the evil people believe him to be.
Isolated in his watery home, Jormungandr has escaped the war until now and happily welcomes Sedna into his refuge. But when the alliance of evil releases the Kraken, can even gods find sanctuary in the ocean depths?
A Requiem for Poseidon is a short tale, and an additional part of the Heavenly Wars series. Chronologically it should be read between books 1 and 2 of the series.
***
Did you know that there’s also a 4th story in the Heavenly Wars series?
Valentines Day Canceled is featured in the My Sexy Valentines Day anthology.
So the best reading order for the series as it stands right now is:
Son of Thunder
Valentines Day Canceled
A Requiem for Poseidon
Daughter of Darkness

No big doings here. We’re planning a quiet day at home taking care of my daughter’s puppy while she and her husband are enjoying the festivities.

Romance Writers Weekly – Organization, smorganization.

Welcome to the romance Writers Weekly blog hop, where every week a great group of romance writers answer questions and accept challenges. Diverse in what we write, we are unified in the quest to bring you, the romance reader, a very happy ever after.

If you’re starting your blog hop here, or just hopping over from Brenda Margriet’s blog, welcome.
Today’s topic comes from the wonderful A.S. Fenichel – The year is half over! OMG! Tell us about how you organize your world? Do you keep a day planner? Do you use your phone? Is organization important to you or is your life in total chaos and you love it?
Now, I am not the most organized person in the world. I rarely make lists, and don’t have a daily planner. Hell, I rarely have a daily plan. It’s usually just a mental list of what I’d like to accomplish.
That said, I do have a shared Google Calendar that I share with my wife for the big, important events I don’t want to lose track of. But other than that, each day is kind of a crap shoot.
Maybe I can pick up some tips from the other bloggers today, so I’m heading over to Leslie Hachtel’s post, where the Romance Writer’s Blog hop continues: https://lesliehachtelwriter.wordpress.com/
And check out Leslie’s fun, sexy novel, Hannah’s War:

Today’s topic comes from the wonderful Jenna Da Sie – Start from the end. You’re the ghost of Christmas future. Write about your life from your funeral to the present. How were you celebrated?
Grim, yet interesting.
I hope people will smile and laugh when they remember me. I know grief is part of the process but . . . ugh.
As an author, I hope my books will live on and continued to be read. And while I don’t have any deep-seated religious beliefs, I do hope there is something beyond.
I think my greatest worry is that I know I will die with so many unwritten stories and characters in my head. Or further stories of the characters I’ve already written about. What happens to them? Could heaven be a place where they all come to life? Where I can share a tankard of mead with Jord Thorson at an inn in Asgaard? Where I can take a seat on the bridge of the Starboard Mist with Rik and the crew to fly through space?
Hopefully I’ve got a little more time yet to write. There are a lot of stories rumbling around in my head.
I’m almost scared to hear what my buddy Marc Stevens has to say on this topic, but the next hop on the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop is his at: https://marcstevenserotica.wordpress.com/

Today I’m posing the question: Let’s take a trip. Pretend your publisher has offered you a two week vacation anywhere in the world to inspire a new novel. Where do you go and why?
So where would be a good place to go to inspire an out-of-this-world science fiction romance?
How about a trip to the Hollywood Science Fiction Museum?
That sounds like a good place to start my trip.
Then maybe the next stop could be the Museum of Science fiction in Washington DC.
Last stop on my out-of-this-world vacation would have to be Seattle, WA and the Museum of Pop Culture.
Talk about a great get-away.
Do you know any other great ways to take off on an otherworldly adventure without a space ship? Let me know in the comments down below.
Then check out Kathryn Renard’s blog at: http://kathrynrenard.com/ as the Romance Writers Weekly Blog Hop continues.

Positively Pippa Blog Tour and Giveaway.
Today I am happy and proud to be part of the Positively Pippa Blog Tour. I had the opportunity to read an early version of this book and it is amazing.
From author Sarah Hegger comes an exciting new series set in small-town Utah, where secrets don’t keep for long—and love turns up in the most unexpected places.
For Pippa Turner there’s only one place to go when her life self-destructs on national TV—home to Ghost Falls, and her heavily perfumed, overly dramatic, but supremely loving grandmother, Philomene. If anyone will understand how Pippa’s hit makeover show was sabotaged by her vengeful ex, it’s Phi. But she’s not the only one who’s happy to see her—and Pippa can’t help but wonder if Matt Evans, her gorgeous high-school crush turned Phi’s contractor, is game for a steamy close-up…
Matt owes his whole career to Phi and her constant demands to embellish the gothically ridiculous house he built for her. Getting to see red-headed, red-hot Pippa is a bonus, especially now that she’s no longer the troublesome teenager he remembers. He’s willing to stay behind the scenes while she gives her own life a much-needed makeover, but not forever. As far as he’s concerned, their connection is too electric to ignore. And the chance to build something lasting between them—before she can high-tail it back to Hollywood—is going to the top of his to-do list.

Sarah Hegger Bio
Born British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an incurable case of wanderlust. Her match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal she accepted six short weeks after they first met. Together they’ve made homes in seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made her multilingual, but the best she can manage is idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese, even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.
Mimicking her globe trotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a wife and mother.
She currently lives in Colorado with her teenage daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.
Sarah is the recipient of the 2015 EPIC Award for Historical Romance.
She is represented my Nalini Akolekar of Spencerhill Associates.
