Rasha Al Ameer is a Lebanese author, publisher and critic. Since 1990, she has co-directed Dar al-Jadeed, an independent Lebanese publishing house. Her debut novel, Yawm al-Din has gone through six Arabic editions in Lebanon, Algeria and Egypt. It has also been translated into French (Le Jour Dernier) by Youssef Seddik published by Actes Sud Sindbad and into English (Judgement Day) by Jonathan Wright published by the American University in Cairo Press. Rasha Al Ameer has also written for children in Arabic and in French.
