Hey all! Some more news for you today, and a little bit more of that juicy cover—this time the back!

There you have it! Now that the front, spine, and back have had their little reveals, it’s time to get back to work, and that means:

ARC Reader Signups Start Soon

Later this week, signups on a whole bunch of ARC reader platforms will begin popping up. So, to reserve your spot in line and to get a free (Advanced Reader) Copy of The Last Eye of Time, keep your eyes on the site! I will list the links both in a blog post and on the main page and in the newsletter, so there will be plenty of opportunity.

I am really looking forward to moving onto the next stage in getting TLEoT out there (and not just because it means I can finally stop editing)! And, more importantly, I really appreciate you, the reader, for accompanying me on this journey.

Cover reveal!

Well, it’s about time we had some REAL news. And here it is…the (front and side) cover reveal!

The Last Eye of Time - And Epic Science Fantasy Novel by Guy W Nettleton - Coming Summer 2025

And that’s that! Good to finally have it done.

Whew…

Now that it’s out in the wild, you’ll start to see it on the site a lot more, as well as on a dedicated information page.

Goodreads and other info pages

The Last Eye of Time will also be posted to Goodreads sometime this week, so I’ll make sure to include a link there when it’s ready.

Next comes the ARC program…buckle up!

Starting in April, I’ll begin to gather a small and intimate list for ARC (Advance Reader Copy) readers. If you’re interested, contact me directly via the Engage Me form on the front page, or sign up to the newsletter below! I’ll include details in the monthly letter on how you can sign up and make sure to stake your claim at a free copy of the book!

cover release imminent + teaser!

Hey All!

Today we have a couple tantalizing updates. Let’s get started!

COVER RELEASE - March 31

So, it’s ready! The Last Eye of Time’s official cover unveiling will be on March 31, 2025, and in the following days and weeks I’ll be posting it to the front page and preparing a basic info page for the book itself.

Many of you know how much thought, effort, and stress go into a cover, and I hope this one came out of the wringer a winner. Please look forward to it next week!

ARC Recruitment to start in April

Another thing to note this week is that I’ll be lining up a number or ARC (Advance Reader Copy) readers for The Last Eye of Time during the month of April. There are a limited number of spots available, but the signup will be posted in an update the first half of April with further details.

However, if you’d like to get a head start and make sure you get a copy, please sign up for my newsletter (on the official site!), because subscribers will get a sneak peek at upcoming news—including the ARC program!

The book cover is (almost) complete!

Well—it is complete! The “almost” part refers to the numerous variations that have yet to be churned out such as the hardcover template, ebook, audiobook, and ad banner images, etc., etc., etc…

But the front, back, and spine are finished and good to go. Hopefully the snippet image above gives you a hint of what to expect.

Book cover unveiling—next week?

On that note, I could be unveiling the cover as early as next week if everything falls into place. If not, I’ll put out a few more snippets of the book and post some other news updates. Everything is happening fast these days, so there’s something new almost every day!

Well, we’re on our way now.

The cover is almost done.

Officially, I can’t unveil it just yet. But lots and lots of elbow grease is being applied even as I type.

Well, I hope it’s something interesting. There are a few different iterations, as well, depending on format. When it’s done, I’ll unveil it here and throughout the site.

Onto the next step!

Which is the back blurb. After an obscene number of edits and rewrites, the back cover blurb is almost ready. It’ll be posted sometime next week, so don’t miss it!

From there, you can look forward to continuous weekly news and progress updates, book snippets, and eventually some side stories, which I hope are interesting looks into the book itself and its universe (but didn’t quite make it into the pages).

Book 2 update:

Also on the way is Book 2, whose working title is “Defiance.” (Absolutely no foreshadowing there.) It’s in the early stages of the first major draft, so there’s a lot yet to write and edit and write and edit, but it’s already got me excited about what’s coming, even if the world hasn’t seen what’s already happened!

The Last Eye of Time

A Science Fantasy story by Guy W Nettleton

Coming in 2025

Hi all,

This is the first step of the final part of a journey that is years in the making. My debut novel, The Last Eye of Time, will be released after seven years of writing, edits, pandemics, and more edits. Finally, I am now considering the artist for the cover design, and once I have that, to get the book ready for final formatting. There is still some editing to be done, but honestly, there is always editing to be done.

Things are falling into place. It’s all starting to feel real.

At this moment, a mid-to-late summer release seems most realistic. I am aiming for July, with August as a backup in the case of unforeseen hiccups. Here in this space, I will detail most of the major steps, as well as post excerpts, snippets, and blurbs about the book.

In addition, I have a lot of side stories and supplementary material that I hope to release on a weekly or semi-weekly basis. All this while I finish the first sequel (of a planned trilogy) should give everybody a bit of a taste of what is and what is to come.

I’m excited. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
