August News, Notes, and something New!–explicit content warning!
Well, I’m back from vacation and hard at work. Here’s what’s new with me:
I’ve started a yahoo group with the goal of getting LAW turned into a movie. It’s a serious group. Here’s the link:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AngelasEaglesAnd please, read the details before you sign up.
I’m deep into book six now–Where We Stand–and you can read a bit of it below. Hope you’re okay with the changes, but like with life, you can’t stop progress, no matter how painful.
I’ll be asking for Beta Readers through my Facebook page sometime late next month. You’ll find out what book at that time, but it will not be LAW 6. It’s not going to be ready that soon. Most likely, it will be The Network. This is the link to my FB page:https://www.facebook.com/Angela7white
My websites are crazy right now, and this blog hates my paypal widgets. If you have trouble ordering, please email me at: cloudninepublications@yahoo.com.
I’m going to be the narrator on my audiobooks. The male reads have yet to be determined. I hope to have The Survivors out by Christmas.
I think that’s it. Have a nice month and enjoy the first chapter!Waving eagerly,Angie

1The War has begun to change us.The mental cliffs we've been forced to leap–the horrors we now hold inside–are nothing compared to the physical. We're harder, stronger, more determined... and also weaker. We need each other so much more now, and it creates vulnerabilities that we must learn to control. We're angrier, as well. We know the government survived and that we'll have to fight them to remain free. We've faced Slavers and nature, direct attacks from crazed refugees, and personal hatred inside our own borders, but all of that was to prepare us for this moment. We represent what's left of the great American herd. And I'm scared. They are going to come for him–these people will know everything–and Adrian will be unprotected except for me and the top Eagles. That won't be enough to defeat the government. If they get ahold of Adrian, the entire world will finish falling. His powers are so magnetic that he could be used to draw in every gifted person on the planet. With all that light gone, all that hope, our civilization will crumble.I have to ask something of Brady, something he'll be tortured by. I need him to help me save the man he wants dead.
Angela closed the notebook and slid it under her mattress. It was actually Adrian's book and the entry was her first. The log of personal thoughts and plans had been exhausting to even skim. She was both dreading and looking forward to exploring it in depth, though it would take a while. At least ten of them, the large stack of notebooks had been inside the tent when she and Marc had come here from the shower.Angela flushed, smiling as she flashed back to Brady on top of her, shuddering in pleasure. He'd taken her three more times during the night, like he couldn't get enough, and for every time he'd exploded, so had she.Angela felt her body wake. What a difference! She'd enjoyed him as a teenager and their recent playing had been fun, but this! This was something that would tighten their bonds every time it happened."He’s awake."Angela winced at the note of tired anger in the mental message. She'd put Charlie on the medical tent last night to monitor things, and she had no doubt that he now knew of Adrian’s desires."Thanks.""Okay to go? He’s too weak to block and I need a break.""Yes. Get some sleep."Charlie’s snort was quick. “Yeah, like that’ll happen now.”Angela determinedly took a few more minutes for herself instead of rushing to comfort or cover. Charlie would be upset for a while, but he would come to realize what everyone else who knew already had–she didn’t want Adrian in return. She had her Brady back. Nothing could compare to that.Body lighting up again, Angela looked over at the naked man sleeping next to her. Even relaxed, he put off an air of menace. And that comforts me, she thought.Angela watched him roll over, exposing a bare chest and faint nail marks. She blushed, drawn instantly into the memory of putting them there. Straddling Marc had been educational, to say the least.“If you keep throwing out that vibe, you’ll wind me up again.”Angela flushed darker. “Maybe I meant to...”“Come here.”Marc’s husky voice sent a chill down her spine and Angela did as she was told.Marc felt warm skin settle next to his, a slightly rough leg draping over his thigh, and tugger her closer. Even dreaming, there was no mistaking that smell. And in here, there were no rules he had to follow, no fears that had to be conquered. He was allowed to take what he wanted."And what do you want?" that lusty voice inside asked. "What way would you have it?"Marc slid his hands around and under, moving closer. "Together."The demon nodded eagerly. That fit with his plans.Marc nuzzled her cheek, inhaling deeply. "Mmm. You smell good."His hand went to her hip, rolling her onto her other side and he moved up against her. He curled one thick arm under her, hand immediately going to cup her breast. The other went over her hip to pull her back against him. The feel of her this way was enough to bring Marc closer to the edge.He put her leg over his hip and readjusted so that he was pressed tightly against her thigh. When he slid his hand to the slick flesh between her legs, her body arched against him and he pushed inside."Mmm...""Ohh..."Marc didn't waste time. He brought her right to that edge with his finger strokes and held himself on it as he thrust in and out. The fit from this angle was amazing. Pleasure seared him from head to foot and his balls grew heavy. His fingers stroked her faster, pressing harder, and she arched in climax, body clamping down.Marc let go of his control, shoving forward to explode inside her willing body.Angela’s nails digging into his wrist was the first sign that registered. Still shooting into her with nerve-tingling jerks, the others followed in rapid succession. Tangled hair around his hand, tight body, sore muscles...Marc hurriedly pulled out, and was unable to stop from covering his ass. He pushed against hers and rode out the rest of the intense pulses. Maybe she wouldn't notice.Marc groaned as she pushed back against him and sent a wave of pleasure through them both. She definitely wouldn't if he shoved her over the rainbow again.Marc sent his hands back to her sensitive flesh, pushing away the guilt. What were the odds that she'd get pregnant again from the first time? There was no way fate would hit them that way twice in the same lifetime.
2Duty pulled Brady from Angela’s hot arms just after a pale dawn that still promised rain. No one came to get him up, but the alarm in his mind brought him to alertness. It said the camp was stirring.Marc eased off of the air mattress and pulled the blanket up to Angela’s shoulders as she snuggled into the warm spot he’d left. He stole a minute watching her sleep, then pulled on his jacket and boots and quietly zipped up the tent behind him. He hoped everyone would give her a few more hours, but knew it was unlikely when he spotted Kyle and Daryl nearby. They didn’t speak to him as he went toward the Mess for coffee, understanding those two were her protection now that he wouldn’t be with her.Marc looked back to verify it and found both guards standing outside the flap, backs to it and hands on holsters.

Book 6 peek- Where We Stand
Just before lunch, Kenn pulled into the QZ parking lot.
He'd checked in with the perimeter men over the radio and everyone knew he was back, but not one guard came out to greet him. What was going on?
Crack!
Thunder had the camp scurrying to secure belongings, and Eagles racing to cover everything else. Tarps were going up, animals being brought in, and the perimeter was being shrunk. It looked normal for the situation, but Kenn knew it wasn't. He'd been sent away. Why? Because Brady was now in charge of the herd? Kenn was braced to accept it, so long as he was still the camp's XO.
Kenn left his gear in the truck, not sure he wouldn't be sent right back out on another meaningless run. He headed for the medical tent first.
Before he got there, Angela came through the QZ with Kevin and Cynthia on her heels. Kenn strained to hear.
"Yes, to all of them, and shut down the QZ desk. Pass out food and water, get a sheet on any medical emergencies they have that can't wait, and tell them we'll open back up in the morning."
"Do you want security on them?" Kevin asked.
Angela paused to consider, then nodded. "Make it light. I don't want to scare them away."
Kevin rushed off and Cynthia took over the questioning.
"Neil said to tell you he needs an answer on the three things you were given."
"Tell Neil to cool them all off–send the music players out and dig up some pre-holiday fireworks. That'll buy some time."
Angela moved out of sight and this time, Kenn immediately picked up on how much quiet protection she had... including Adrian's personal sniper guard.
"He gave it to her!"
"Did you really think he wouldn't?"
Kenn turned to see Marc lounging casually against the water truck.
"You lost your chance at leadership the first time you hurt her."
Kenn's face darkened. "I assumed it would be you, asshole."
Marc grinned, moving off. "You assumed wrong. On a lot of things..."
Kenn saw Daryl fall into the shadows, staying even with Marc, and understood what hadn't been said. Daryl, on the few occasions they'd seen fit to protect him, had been Kenn's sniper guard. Safe Haven's leader and XO were only watched by the top teams.
Angela and Marc were in control of the herd.
Kenn stayed still, running it through the filters, trying to accept. When he finally moved, it was to find a line of Eagles waiting.
Kenn rolled his eyes. "I don't need another intervention."
"Are you sure?"
Angela came from behind him, looking tired and glorious under stress. Kenn hated her.
"How was the trip?"
Kenn grunted. "Make-work."
Angela moved closer. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. Adrian thought it was best you were away when everything happened."
"Adrian?" Kenn questioned snidely.
Angela lit a smoke, taking a minute to relax. She'd been busy for the last four hours and she was already beat. As she blew out the smoke, Angela locked eyes with her biggest rival to getting things done. "Adrian made the calls on placement. And he made it clear that I can change them if I'm unhappy."
Kenn snorted rudely. "You and asshole running it all–why would you protest that?"
"Because I need this camp to run even smoother than it did under Adrian, and the only way that happens is through you."
Kenn considered. "You'll move him somewhere else?"
"Yes," Angela answered coolly. "Do I need to do that?"
"If I said yes, what happens?"
"You get the XO slot, Brady gets something a lot further down, and the camp and Eagles spend the rest of Adrian's recovery time making your life as miserable as they possibly can, short of death."
Kenn already knew that much. "And if I say no?"
"You stay on Adrian's right through his recovery and top off a steady reform with bonus points."
"Meaning I'm forgiven?"
Angela had bigger things to spar over. "For me? Yes. And that means for most of the Eagles, as well."
Kenn didn't have to spend time thinking about it, but he still loathed the idea. Some days would be hard, but if he got to stay with Adrian, he would determine his own future. "No."
Angela turned away without adding anything. A man's pride, was a man's pride. Destroying it was lethal, but even wounds could be deadly. Kenn was willing to keep trying to change. So long as he was, the past was over.
She gave a positive motion to the waiting Eagles and they disappeared.
"Hey!" Kenn called.
Angela didn't turn around to face the accusing tone. "Yeah?"
"Why didn't I ever rate a constant shadow?"
Angela's face tightened. "Because you were always the threat."
As you can see, I'm working on book 6. So far, the title will be 'Where We Stand'.
Because I'm jumping back in so soon, I'm already a bit fried. I need a vacation, but these voices in my head! Adrian and Dog keep calling and I have to answer.
Sigh. I'm heading to the Smokey Mts until late August. When I come back, I'll try to let everyone know when to expect the next part of series. Should I post a few pics from the kids at Dollyworld?

July News & Notes
July New and Notes
Happy Summer!
The book signing was cancelled. Next year I'll try to put together a tour and hit 5 states. It's just not realistic this year. I'm quite busy writing book 6. The title: Where We Stand.
The final episode of the Bachelor Battles will come next. I had thought to finish that series over the summer, but Adrian and Dog won't let me go. Safe Haven is in trouble. The government is coming and I can't leave them yet. You have to see what happened next.
The Kindle contest has also been cancelled due to a lack of response. Thank you to the few who entered. Each of you will receive a free copy of book 6 when it goes live.
From The Ashes has had some formatting trouble with the small print. I'm reformatting it and the 2 retailers with this issue say they're looking into the upload process. Between us, we should have this problem fixed by the end of the month. I'm asking Amazon and B&N to send out the new copies to those who bought it, but there hasn't been an answer on that yet.
Audio books! I hope to have the first 2 books in the LAW series done by the end of the year. My good friend, Ian Flint, has agreed to help me. He'll be handling the music and male reads. I'll be doing the female parts. Sound okay?
Interactive question:Would you like to see more interactive features in the remaining LAW series books? Please vote in the right sidebar, and thank you!
That's it. I'm taking my files on vacation with me. I can't give you a release date on book 6, but I should be able to when I get back. I hope your next months are peaceful and productive. And if you can't get that, at least remember to make a generous survival kit for when this world finally flushes itself down the toilet.
Waving at you,Angie
