It’s strange because Shaking The Trees is sort of like a tribute to who I once was. Baby me, too young, too naive, too caught up in love. I’m still that person but I’ve developed so much as a writer that this book always takes me aback when I look through it. I’m proud that I wrote it, I’m proud that it was published and I’m also very proud that I’ve changed. Still baby me, still learning but slightly differently this time. If anyone wants to know Baby Azra then you can buy Shaking The Trees here and you’d be making me smile and getting to know a past self.

in there, then hanging on,
then the longest drop”
