Omg I haven’t straightened it in like a hundred and five years, it’s so strange, it’s like where is the rest of my head???

"So in my defense, when he touched me, the lights of my body came on.
In my defense, the windows were..."
In my defense, the windows were thrown open. In my defense, spring.”

Azra, I'm afraid to love. Heck, I don't even know what it means to be in love. How do you do it so fearlessly?
You just gotta find someone who makes it impossible to be anything but completely in love with them.

y’all should follow Persephone’s Daughters on Facebook! We’re officially opening submissions in a few weeks and it’s super exciting and it would be wonderful if you could take part in the journey with us!
Poetry dies. Blood is not beautiful, it's just red.
This would be a good thought if it was an original one. Unfortunately, Kait Rosowski thought of it before you.

"I tell myself,
that you are only
a moment. How
in this universe
full of moments,

that you are only
a moment. How
in this universe
full of moments,
we’re just two stars
that found the same orbit.
I tell myself that
it doesn’t matter.
if we fall out of love,
fall out of orbit,
stop chasing our heels,
stop touching each other,
like sunflowers
are growing from
our skins. I tell myself
that you are not the sun
and I am not the greedy Earth.
A mantra or a prayer,
I tell myself,
that it doesn’t matter
if someday,
I cannot hold
the soft mass of you
in my arms.
That I will
love you properly
here and now.
What I mean is,
if we are a moment,
I want us to track through
forever with our dirty shoes,
and our suitcases. If we are
a moment, let it be
now and now and now.”

"I peeled the back of the moon, and found you sitting in the dark of a crevice, playing the banjo...."
I peeled the back of the moon, and found you sitting in the dark of a crevice, playing the banjo. You were smiling at a joke you’d share with me ten years from then. I took you by the hand and danced with you to the edge and we looked at Earth together. How small and how grand it was. How infinite the space between our fingers. I carefully shared my sighs with your mouth and told it a secret I’d tell you ten years from then.
You said ‘do they feel lonely down there.’ And I looked at you. Your wide mouth brimming with oceans, your trembling eyes, how they always leaked seawater. Always shaking, always dripping something. I looked at you and I thought ‘you are an entire universe.’ I looked at you and I said 'yes, they’re lonely. They’re lonely and glorious with it.“
