Featured author, Our Little Bookshop

My writing group, the Children’s Writers’ Round Robin, has had an online bookstore – Our Little Bookshop – for the past several years: https://ourlittlebookshop.bigcartel.com/ Recently, our bookstore has expanded to include books by several other authors as well.

Thanks to the creative work of our wonderful, hard-working coordinator, Dianne Young, names have been drawn to be featured authors for each month. I’m thrilled to have been chosen for July 2025!

TIMEFALL ebook on sale July 2025

Timefall, my most recent young adult novel, is enrolled in the 17th annual Smashwords Summer/Winter ebook Sale for 50% off. This upcoming sale begins next week (July 1) and runs for the entire month. Presently priced at $3.49 US dollars, the sale will reduce the ebook to about $1.74 USD.

Timefall was quite a long while in the writing, and several years later I’m still very happy with the results. An earlier version (2018) was a finalist in the YA novel category of the 2019 Prix Aurora Awards....

Our Little Bookshop

Our Little Bookshop is an independent online bookstore that features the work of children’s writers – primarily residents of Saskatchewan. Our books range from picture books for the youngest kids; early chapter books for young readers; middle grade novels; and on up through books for young adults and teens. The Wind and Amanda’s Cello!

My newest picture book, The Wind and Amanda’s Cello, is newly out from Shadowpaw Press! Illustrated by watercolour artist Sarah Shortliffe of Nova Scotia, this book tells the story of what happens when a mischievous wind swoops into young Amanda’s cello as she sits practising. New editions officially in print!

As of today, my Germy Johnson Series for readers aged 7-9 is now officially in print! All three books – Germy Johnson’s Secret Plan; Germy Johnson’s Piano War; and Germy Johnson’s Stolen Skateboard – are now once again available, with updated content and new covers by graphic artist Sandra Norman!
