Writer Interview : Zeinab Alayan
Reblogged from Devin Berglund:

Hello Everyone, It’s been a few day! How are you all? How is your writing going? I have been busy writing a short story for a competition and still am working on my fictional novel. Sooo many ideas have been flooding my mind lately. Totally happy and excited about that! I just thought I would let you guys become introduced to an awesome writer online.
I would never say no to a bit of publicity, haha. Check out this interview I did with...

Addictions.
Hi, I’m Zen, and I’m addicted to Bingo. Not just any Bingo though, no… but the new Bingo game on Facebook. I usually try to stay far away from games on Facebook, especially due to my tendency to get addicted right away. I’ve gotten hooked on Tetris, Sims Social, Bejeweled Blitz and even Mafia Wars. Every time its gets to the extent that I’ll be checking the game every few minutes… before eventually I pull the plug on the game and block it so that I don’t feel tempted to try it again.
Recently...

If I sold you a plot, would you buy it?
Cover of The Ringmaster’s Daughter
Recently I finished reading Jostein Gaarder’s The Ringmaster’s Daughter; it tells the story of a guy named Petter who has such an incredible imagination that writers would kill for. He can spout out three complete and elaborate plots in the span of an hour. However, Petter has no desire to become an author, but he is more than happy to sell his plots to those who are willing to pay a good price.
It was interesting to see the huge number of authors who succumbe...

Back up, back up, back up! Oh, and yeah, back up.
Today may have very well been a disastrous start to this weekend. I returned home from an exhausting day at work, freshened up and had my lunch and everything, then I turned on my laptop. Or at least tried to turn it on.
Windows was starting to load, then suddenly the screen turns black and I get a message telling me that Windows has failed to start-up and I should let Windows try to fix the damage. My first thought was, “Well, laptop, we’ve had a good run. But please try to fix yourself, okay...

My next two characters shall look like Barbie and Ken!
No, no, I kid! Come back. I promise they won’t look like them. And I promise I’m not going to talk about them either. I mostly brought them up because when it comes to appearance, characters with features similar to Barbie and Ken are the most cliché. I admit that I myself have included this cliché in one story at one point in my life, but that’s beyond us now.

Just look at the perfect smiles, eyes and hair, haha.

Things I miss from my childhood
Every once in a while, I’ll see something on the internet or come across something while sorting through all my stuff that’ll make me miss the things that used to make up my childhood. Many of these things are either gone, changed drastically from when I was a kid, or else considered not appropriate for my age. I can’t help but reminiscence though. Here some things from my childhood!
1. Doll Houses

Isn’t that gorgeous? I admit my houses weren’t as pretty… or as expensive – this one costs $82,00...

Oh sweet relaxation.
When you’ve had a really stressful week, you find yourself looking forward to the weekend; those two days during which you can ignore the fact that you’ll be going back to the same routine come Monday. I personally find that treats always get me relaxed, so today I called up a friend of mine to try out new “sweet” venues.
We first went to this cute little patisserie called Gustav which serves the most amazing things. My friend laughed at my sharp intake of breath when we entered the place. The...

Thank you for the awards!
Okay, okay, so I’ve been slacking. I received some awards from three lovely bloggers, and I have yet to accept them. So I’m combining them all in one post! Thank you, Boomie Bol, The Jotter’s Point and Robin Coyle, for nominating me for The Versatile Blogger Award, The Inspiring Blog Award, The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award and… uh, The Kreativ Blogger Award (Robin listed three so I just randomly picked one… okay, no, I like to think of myself as creative, haha). It feels great to be...

Can anyone get me a universal remote please?
I think this is the longest I’ve gone without posting. This was an extremely frustrating week, I barely had time to do anything except work because I was on incredibly short deadlines and had to work overtime to get everything done. It didn’t improve much today, and I’m already looking forward to the weekend. I wish I could just skip ahead like Adam Sandler did in his movie, Click.
In Click, Sandler’s character gets a remote control that controls aspects of his life and enables him to relive p...
