Fractured Excerpt (Feb 2012)
I figured I'd tease you a bit. I have to get my kicks somewhere This scene is from my unedited version. The professionals still have my manuscript. Still waiting for the final edits to make it back to me.
I grabbed my purse and walked away without a backward glance…
I weaved my way to the front desk, retrieved my suede coat and walked out into the brisk night air. My head sank back to calm water, the fog lifting a little. I made a mental note to ask if they pumped shit into the air...

Movie Review: One for the Money
So, on Saturday the 4th, I left all the kids with my husband and embarked on a movie journey with my mom and aunt.
Our destination? One for the Money. I haven't been to the movies in years. Years! I may have been in a wee bit of shock over the prices. Holy crap. $11.50 for a movie? Damn.
Anyway. We finally got there, and got settled. Oh, side note, the seats were so comfortable. They reclined and everything. It felt like memory foam cossetting my ass. Nice!
I enjoy the first twelve Stephanie...

I'm about to get philosophical…
Every once in a while, I get scared, nervous, confused, philosophical? It started last year when I turned thirty. Well, worse after I turned thirty anyway. I'll be doing something, and then BAM. It hits me. Mortality. The "Holy shit, I'm gonna die, someday." I look around me and I think, I'm still young, I have my whole life ahead of me. I try to imagine what life would be like in another sixty or seventy years. Because, let's face it folks, I'm living until I'm at least a hundred.
I'll...

I'm doing the happy dance.
I've sent a few beta copies out to friends and family first. I've gotten some great feedback and good ...

200 Word Story Competition ~ Crypt of Morbius
I entered Crypt of Morbius January competition .
I followed the abhorrent scent.
He'd strolled into our house and walked straight to the bedroom, ignoring me as I sat at the scarred kitchen table. He'd been late, again. At six, he called to say he had a client meeting and would be home around nine. I looked over at the clock resting on the nightstand, Eleven O'clock.
I propped myself up next to him on the bed, leaning over to sniff his neck. He reeked of booze, and bargain-basement...

"What are you doing on the dresser, sweets?"
Sara crossed the sterile bedroom and sat on the rumpled bed. She looked around, taking in the empty bottles. When she glanced up at Scott, his head rested on his knees, arms locked tight. She'd never...

Six Sentence Sunday ~ Fractured Moon
Happy Six Sentence Day.
This is from my first novel, Fractured Moon. I hope for a March Release. Keep your eyes peeled. (The manuscript is currently being edited. This is an UNEDITED quote.) Subject to change.
I should've inserted my foot, as I was greeted with the most amazing looking man. My eyes locked instantly onto his and I exhaled hard, my breath stolen from my lungs. His eyes were large, slightly tilted; one emerald green with gold flecks, and the other, a polished Amber. ...

Enjoy:
"Indeed, you've found her."
"How can you tell, father?"
Dex pointed to the swirl of light green surrounding the girls pupil. Her eyes– a shocking mix of Spring and Summer grasses, blended harmoniously together. The picture captured her true fae essence. And punched Dex square in the gut. Despite the Queen hiding in...

Flash Fiction Friday (11) Lust
Flash Fiction Friday is here. I'm sorry I've missed the last few weeks. I've been in my writing cave. I'm back. Hope you missed me!
He watched the women.
He lusted for the love he witnessed. It poured from their eyes while they made love.
Both women were beautiful in their own right, but together, made him think wicked thoughts. He adjusted the rising tent of his boxers, and put down the telescope.
He wished his lover consumed him as raw and passionate. He wondered if today would be the...

Here are my six:
Setup Sentence:
I didn't dance for him, I danced for me. I was in a place where hurt couldn't roam free.
Turning my back on him, I beckoned to the blonde Adonis dancing near me, alone, with heat in his eyes. I gave him the 'come hither' eye fuck and held out my hand to him. He sauntered closer, and placed his left hand on my hip...
