About:
Sabra the incarnate was a queen among her people, a mother to her children, and a wife to a loving husband. She led a life of peace in the newly opened Libera, raised her son into a righteous king and her daughter a loyal ambassador. She loved her husband Henry, even in his sickness. Life was well and predictable.
However, even this hero of Libera has her own demons to face. Henry's sickness reaches its peak, torturing his body to utter exhaustion and weakness, and Sabra must face his inevitable death. Unable to mentally face his leaving, Sabra begins to drown in a self-imposed madness. Family and friends cannot turn her from it...save for one lupogryph, a Hakaan wizard named Ķiaser.
When Sabra makes a choice to leave Zanoll, she, Ķiaser, and other companions embark on a journey unlike any she has experienced. She deals with enemies she did not expect to face, while battling the storm within her. Will Sabra turn back to the gods that gave her life and destiny, or will she break under the pressures within and be destroyed in more ways than one?
Keep an eye out on Xenithar's Lair at www.sathorup.com for more updates! Thanks everyone!

Hello everyone! I have an important announcement to make!
Book I of the Legacy Incarnate: Incarnate Journey, will be released next year!
The Legacy Incarnate is a series I have been working on since 2010 after the release of Lithia on Lulu.com. I have held off publishing any books in this series in case I needed to change anything in story in the overall series and maintain consistency. However, since I am currently drafting the final book, I feel comfortable beginning a serious editorial process on Book I, and will try to fix any inconsistencies in other books that will help them fit with the first book, then the second, and so forth.
Anywho, I will be doing stuff to my website, Xenithar's Lair, in the meantime, so keep an eye out on it!
Also, I plan on having a contest early next year before spring for readers and any other participants that can win them a signed copy of Book I and even some original, hand-drawn Legacy Incarnate art by me!

Author AND Artist?
Hello y'all! Many of you may not know that, while I write stories, I also do my own custom cover art!
As a (currently) self-published author, I have the ability and flexibility to slap my own art onto my book covers. Over the years and during recent times, I have improved upon my art style and design, and I am very happy with how things are turning out, especially for my latest book covers.
I have recently finished the front cover art for the second book in a series I'm writing called The Legacy Incarnate, and I will be happy to share it with you:) :

On website my blog, Xenithar's Musings, you can also check out a series of cover ideas I came up with for the first book and the final result here.
Hope you enjoyed!

Fantasy rocks
To me, fantasy is the best genre out there. You can go places you've never been, meet people you've never met, and do things you've never done. There is no limit to fantasy.
I find the things in fantasy fascinating, which is probably why I keep writing it. By things, I mean exploring races and people, as well as the worlds they live in; fantastic, beautiful places, as well as the mundane and cruel. Strange things, exciting things. (Not that I condone evil things; I use them to show just how good good is!)
I've had the funnest time exploring one of my fantasy races known as Molouks. They are anthropomorphic raptors, essentially. Their skin is smooth and glossy. They come in a wide gamut of colors, with yellow being the rarest. A majority of their race lives on an island, although another large part of their race ranges in the far eastern parts of their world. The ones on the island are advanced technologically, and they have a culture of dance and singing and religion They are only one of several races in the current world I'm building, Libera.
Yes, fantasy rocks my socks.

What about you?
Yay, another post! So, I have a question for y'all that happen to run across my humble blog: what would you as a reader like to see me as an author post about on here? Other's ideas can give me interesting things to post about. These can include questions, subjects on my writing, and so forth. I may not answer things about my personal life, though.
For this post, I would like to chatter about romance. I like good, clean romance, and even better, I like writing about it! I like having a love interest alongside the main plot lines of my stories. It creates warm, fuzzy feelings.
What about you? Do you like a bit of romance with your run-rompin' fantasy? Or do you find it bleh?

School
I don't think I've ever been so busy in my life, probably because I've had more time under my belt in the past. Work, school, and homework contribute, as well as my Church calling. Lately I've had little time to get writing in, but I won't give up! I haven't traveled this far into The Legacy Incarnate to simply give up the journey and move somewhere else. Rawr.
I'm planning on getting a netbook here soon, complete with a webcam. I hope to post videos on here, most likely info on my book stuff, maybe other randomities.
Short and simple. Until the next post...

Getting into the system
Hello, everyone! Hi Goodreads! Hello, hello, yeah I think everyone gets the idea now...
My name is Sarah, and my pen name is S.A. Thorup. Keep an eye on this blog for updates on my book stuff, writing, and other randomities. I wish I could connect Xenithar's Musings, the blog on my official website, to this blog as a feed, but it was not cooperating with me.
As an author I love to share my stories with others and to talk about the realm of writing and fantasy. Eventually, if I can get a decent following here on Goodreads, I would like to do a Q & A with readers and do that sort of thing! As for things like book signings or other live events, at the moment it is not going to be immediate.
For everyone who has just run across my name on here, let me get you up to date on my writing and such. I've been writing since I was in Elementary and my first novel was actually a sci-fi/space opera rip-off of the Animorphs universe. I transitioned into fantasy in that same series, although I have gone back and written sci-fi again. That first book was part of a trilogy called the Draconite Trilogy. Afterwards I wrote another series called the Silver Dragon Legacy, and a sequel series based in the same world called the Kajt Chronicles. Both were published for a period of time on Lulu before I removed them.
After the Kajt Chronicles I wrote some other things, including a couple of stand-alone manuscripts and an unfinished sci-fi called the Gryphonriders of Ta'rell, which was never published. I gave up on Gryphonriders and moved on to my current big series, The Chronicles of Libera (although it wasn't called that until I finished the first series in the Libera universe), which is still very much alive and in progress. During Libera, I started writing another series called Photosynthesis:Legend of the Black Lion, a sci-fi using some recycled base ideas from Gryphonriders. Photosynthesis has been put on hold, and currently I am writing a series in the Chronicles of Libera called The Legacy Incarnate. I hope to get at least the first Book in the series published this year.
I've also written several short stories, and had one published in a college class publication called The Many Lives of Roads and Russo, a collection of short stories that involve the same group of characters in different places, settings, etc. Me and 3 other people contributed stories.
Whew, so there you have a brief summary of my writing history. I've written indexes and notes as well.
As you can see I have added just one book on here, but I will had more as time goes along, and hopefully put pictures and stuff up.
Look forward to more updates!
