Friday Fiction Update: McDone 3 & Dead Days Season 3 Updates
Hi all,
Apologies for the lack of a Fiction Update last Friday. Truth is, I’m not sure I can sustain the weekly live blogging of my entire schedule thing. Keeping track of EVERYTHING I do went from pretty fun during the first days to plain irritating and intrusive later. So apologies — I might return to it in the future, but instead, my posts will be more fiction oriented, as was the initial goal. I do hope those two blogs helped give you an insight into the typical life of a writer, though.
An...

Friday Fiction Update: The One With The Sinkers Cover Reveal
Hi all,
In case you haven’t read the first two posts (which I’d suggest you do so), I’m blogging my weekly life as a writer every Friday. I don’t go into the details of process, but I do outline my struggles, show how I find the time to write, as well as offer my thoughts on how to deal with dwindling motivation.
Without any further ado, here’s my progress over the last week. Overall, not a great week. Felt a bit lacking in motivation at times. But did I let that affect my writing? Well… let’s...

Friday Fiction Update: The First One
Hi all,
Last week, I told you I’d be starting a new regular feature on the blog called Friday Fiction Update (if you missed the post, here you go). I wasn’t totally sure what form it was going to take when I set off with it, only that it would cover a week in my writing life in some form.
Well, I have to say that logging my diaries for a full week was actually rather fun, and something I’m looking forward to doing more regularly in future.
Why am I doing this?
Because many people, whether readers...

Friday Fiction Update: The First of Many…
Hi all,
I’ve spoken a lot over the last few months about how I want to take this blog and website in a real fiction oriented direction. I’ve talked about it, but it’s taken me a while to work out what exactly that direction should be.
However, after months of deliberation, I think I’ve just about got there.
A bit of background, because if you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ll know how much of a sucker for background I am: I started this blog in June 2012 when I was just finishing up my fi...

May Fiction Update: Sinkers, McDone 3, and a very big Dead Days thanks.
Hi all,
Spring’s here and summer’s just around the corner. About time, right? I make it no secret how much I hate winter, and I think it’s the same for many.
That said, I used last winter as an excuse to hibernate and be as productive as I possibly could.
And damn was it a productive period.
Between October 31st–which is where winter starts in my mind because it’s getting a bit chilly around then–and March 18th, I managed to release the entire first season of Dead Days, two Brian McDone detective...

Dead Days: Season Two Cover Reveal(s)…
Hi all,
Quick post today. I’m working on a new project and just finished my writing for the week. Pretty tiring one, but who ever said any job was easy, eh? Anyway, I’ve just reached the “difficult 1/3rd” mark of this new project (of which I’ll talk more about in the future) and am just about ready to sleep for the weekend. Wild, eh?!
Anyway, I’ve been teasing Dead Days: Season Two for a long, long time, so I figured it was only fair I shared the covers with you. Not many words being blogged th...
