I don’t think for a moment anyone has suggested that the craft involved in crashes can “fly across the universe.” Imagine instead that the equivalent of a Navy aircraft carrier has taken the long journey and these craft are the jets that fly off the deck.

I don't know why your title bothers me so much, but you are talking about a possessive, "Humanity's Impatience," and not a plural with "Humanities." You are not talking about multiple expressions of humanity ("humanities") but about us, the singlular humanity, that your article questions whether it is impatient. I'll drop it, but it's an easy fix. :-)
