As October folds into November, I wanted to share a quiet offering…
They went online, not expecting much; it was 1998.
They stepped into a world of heartfelt letters, where language is tender, time is layered, and their story invites you to pause, feel, and remember.
Not just a love story, but a journey of growth, longing, passion, renewal, vulnerability, and the quiet bravery of starting again.
If you’ve ever planted hope in soft soil, this one is for you.

October, and the Art of Lingering
There’s something about October that invites a slower kind of breath. The leaves don’t fall, they release. The light doesn’t fade; it softens. And in that hush, I find myself returning to the novel, not as its author, but as its witness.
This season, the story feels different. More tender. More earned.
The emotional arc of the book now mirrors the trees outside my window; what once burned bright now curls inward, asking to be held. If you’ve read it, you know the moment I mean. That turning point. That quiet grief.
Promotions are coming, but they’ll be gentle. A $0.99 offering on Amazon, timed with the waning moon from October 9th to October 13th. No urgency. Just an invitation to sit with the story as the world slows down.
Reader rituals matter more than metrics. I’ve been refining blurbs, bookmarks, and even ad copy to make them feel like a whisper rather than a shout. If you stumble across it, I want it to feel like fate.
If you’ve read the book, I’d love to know: What line stayed with you when the leaves began to turn? What moment felt like a mirror?
And if you haven’t yet, October is a good time to begin. The ember waits.

Just sharing a few thoughts tonight. about waiting, connection, and the kind of love that doesn’t always arrive on time. This one’s for anyone who’s ever held space for someone they couldn’t quite reach.
On Longing, Letters, and the Love We Wait For.
There’s something about waiting; for a message, a touch, a sign, that gets under your skin. It lingers. It shapes how we speak, how we love, how we hold space for someone who isn’t quite here yet.
Nickie and Ken’s love unfolded one message at a time, held together by longing and delay. It’s a relationship built on words that mean more than they say, and silences that speak louder than they should. Their story is imperfect, tender, and real.
I’ve been moved by the responses from Amazon readers. Some have called it “a passionate love story” with “palpable emotions.” Others have praised the language, the realism of the characters, and the emotional honesty that threads through every page.
One review in particular stayed with me—not because it was flattering, but because it felt true:
“Blends the quick pace of a modern epistolary form with a passionate, imperfect love that feels both timeless and deeply human.”
That’s the kind of connection I hope this book offers. Not just a story, but a kind of presence that doesn’t fade.
Thank you for reading, and for letting this story find its way into your life.

A Slow-Burn Love Story Told in Letters: Read Nickie’s Journey.
One quiet afternoon. One story that lingers.
I wrote you into every silence I didn’t know how to speak aloud.
That line lives at the heart of On My Mind and in My Heart, a story told in letters, in longing, in the spaces between what’s said and what’s felt. If you’ve ever loved someone so deeply that words failed you, this book might feel like home.
Nickie’s journey is quiet but powerful. It’s about memory, vulnerability, and the kind of love that reshapes you. If you’re scrolling for something soulful, tender, and true, I hope you’ll let her story keep you company this summer.
📖On My Mind and in My Heart is free to read with Kindle Unlimited: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F37JP95Q
For readers who love:
Slow-burn romance with emotional depth.
Epistolary novels that feel personal and intimate
Stories about longing, identity, and quiet transformation
Women’s fiction with heart and honesty
A love story that lingers.
Author’s Note
When I began writing On My Mind and in My Heart, I didn’t know how much silence I was carrying. This story gave me a way to speak it, to shape longing into language, and love into letters. Nickie’s journey is deeply personal, but I hope it feels familiar to anyone who’s ever loved quietly, fiercely, or without knowing how to say it out loud.
Thank you for reading. I’m so grateful to share this story with you.
Warmly,
Gabrielle A. Hunter

August Reflections
As the summer sun begins its descent into softer evenings, I’ve found myself looking back at the stories that have shaped me lately—on the page and beyond it. Reading has always been more than a pastime; it’s a quiet kind of companionship, a mirror, a spark.
I’m grateful for each book, each thoughtful review, and each fellow reader who's stopped by to connect. If you're reading this, thank you for being part of the journey.
Stay tuned, stay curious, and let the next chapter unfold.

Still on My Heart—A Little Hello from Me
Hi everyone 💛
It's been a couple of weeks since the giveaway for On My Mind and In My Heart, and I wanted to pop in and say thank you again for entering, supporting, reading, reviewing, and being part of this journey. Seeing how this story resonates with you has meant more than I can say.
Since then, I've been quietly working behind the scenes: refining things, learning the ropes of promotion (hello, Amazon Ads dashboard!), and dreaming up ways to connect more authentically—with both readers and those discovering my book for the first time.
If you've read On My Mind and in My Heart, I'd love to hear what lingered for you: a favorite line, a moment that made you feel something, a letter that stayed with you. And if it's still on your to-read list—no pressure! But know it's patiently waiting there with open arms.
In the meantime, I'm still writing, still exploring, and always open to hearing from you.
With appreciation,
Gabrielle

Where the Quiet Things Began
I never set out to write a book. I set out to breathe. Sitting with the weight of things I didn’t know how to say. In the middle of healing, I started writing letters—quiet fragments of what hurt, what healed, and what stayed. I never imagined those whispers would one day find their way into someone else’s hands.
On My Mind and in My Heart is a collection of the unsaid. It’s for anyone who has tried to make peace with pain, or carried love that no longer has a place to land. If you find a version of yourself in these pages, know it wasn’t by accident. I wrote this for you, too.
Thank you for being here.
