It’s hard to value play, it seems so… childish. But play is effective because it takes us beyond the bounds of what our minds think is reasonable.
Play gets our energy moving.
Your Creative Vision is ‘Real’
Your creative yearnings are REAL. They’re not make-believe. The characters in your novels are real, your business idea is real, your vision is real. It’s real energy that wants to come through and be expressed through you. It’s not make-believe.

Connecting to Heart Wisdom
Today a 105-year old woman told me that the key to happiness is having a peaceful heart. I agree...yet sometimes my heart's choices are entirely opposite what my mind thinks I should be doing.
For example, my mind tells me I should live in the city because it'd be better for my career...but my heart wants the country. My heart wants slow walks in the woods, magical evenings playing music with friends until the stars come out, the purple glow on the mountains when the sun sets, kayaking on the river. In addition to the simple beauty, it's the sensuality of the country lifestyle that speaks to my heart.
I'm connected to what matters to me.
When I first moved to the country, everyone thought I was crazy...but that's the nature of a creative life.
Creativity comes from the Divine and the Divine always brings surprise.

Many of us make decisions and navigate through the world in a pre-verbal, metaphoric way. Whether it’s a career path, a place to live or a decision about who to marry, we will choose the one that “feels right”—the career that feels inspiring and expansive, the house that feels lighter, the person who brightens our spirits. These decisions were made through our body’s ability to metaphorically connect with universal creative energies that are much wiser than we are.
Yet metaphor continues to be fundamentally misunderstood as a linguistic device. Metaphor is much, much more than that.
At a deep level, metaphor shifts our vibratory energy, alters how we perceive the world, and aligns us with deep soul wisdom. Deeply working with metaphor is a direct path to mystical experience and connection with the Divine. Metaphor opens a potent way of knowing that we haven’t had access to in our culture.
