S.L. Cook is an Emmy-award winning news and sports producer who enjoys discovering compelling stories. He has traveled extensively throughout his life to find them.

His career began as a Producer for NBC Nightly News and the Today show, living both in Los Angeles and New York for several years. After being hired away by CNN, he soon became the network’s Managing Editor in Los Angeles, where he oversaw and produced coverage during some of the most turbulent years in the city’s history, including the Rodney King beating, the subsequent trials of the police officers, and the 1992 riots.
