Framed is a #1 Best Seller

While out for dinner this evening, I checked my Amazon storefront. I was delighted to find that the Kindle edition of Framed: A Villain's Perspective on Social Media had reached the #1 overall sales position for "Social Aspects of the Internet," its most relevant category.

I'm now a "Best Selling" author.

My dining partner fist-bumped me.

This was a really special moment for me because I figured I'd never triumph over the traditionally published books or those dumping tons of money into ads.

I believe that things are just getting started. As more people read the book they will realize that Framed is different. Maybe someone important will proclaim it to be one of the best tech books of the year.

Most people here know me as a moody book critic. I wouldn't have published this book if I didn't believe it was better than some of the mainstream tech books. Only time will tell, but if you're reading this, you can consider yourself to be early. Regardless of how you rate the book, I thank you for supporting my work.

Now I need to focus on ascending other best seller lists.

I'm an author now.

I have over 1,000 followers here on Goodreads. I'm imagining that this audience was built up in the 2010s when I spent several consecutive years reading and reviewing 52 books per year.

I spent the last two years on one book. I've written a work called Framed: A Villain's Perspective on Social Media.

It's currently a #1 New Release on Amazon ahead of its debut on February 28th.



Today, my profile was converted to an author page and it's a surreal transition. I intend to promote my books here, give away free copies, and also engage with readers. I can't run away from all the harsh reviews that I've written now that it's time for me to receive feedback.
