In the Beginning
I'll be brief. Writing has been the unexpected thrill and perhaps the culmination of my professional journey (perhaps - I can't promise that until I'm through reinventing myself).
I was trained as an actress and stubbornly resisted my muse for a few decades before giving in and embracing my inner scribe.
Writing is a lot of work, and invites many levels of criticism. As a "Barney" writer I often brag that you can take a baseball bat to me when giving feedback and not hurt my feelings.
Whether it's good or bad, criticism is an instrument of growth. Growth is a good thing.

Having stumbled into the professional world of writing 15 years ago at Radio Disney, I have leap-frogged from one unbelievable opportunity to another in this industry. After three years of working for a rodent, I opted to go work for a lizard - a rather large purple dinosaur at that! I spent 7 years at Barney & Friends, managing to work with another mouse along the way - Angelina Ballerina. While these opportunities with globally acclaimed corporations were exciting and enriching, the call of the wild finally lured me into my first novel - and what I like to call . . . the Wild West of self-publishing.
