It has Finally Arrived!

Sorry for the poor quality. I was so excited I snapped a picture with my cell phone.

I'm very excited! My book has finally arrived, and I finally had the chance to see it in person. It looks better than I thought it would to be honest. I'm glad to see that my hard work has finally paid off, and I can actually hold the legitimate copy of the book in my hands.

It seems like things are starting to get a little better when it comes to my writing. My first novel is officially published, I only have ...

Upstate Metal!

[image error]Holy excitement! Not only has my first novel been published, but I also just became part of the Upstate Metal writing team as a contributor, (http://upstatemetal.wordpress.com/). I'll be able to interview bands, write news about them, get backstage press passes, and other things of the sort. While it's not a paid gig, I'm really not worried about it. This is more of like an internship for me. I'll be able to get the experience of working for a magazine, and it'll be a writing job to put on...

Author Fan Page Created; No Sales yet, but I'm Hopeful!

Well, I took some advice and went out on a limb. I've created an author "fan" page for myself on Facebook. It's very slow going right now. Only my fiance, my step-dad, and my editor currently "like" me, but it's only two hours old so I can't expect miracles. But, at any rate, that little text box on the right side of the page is the fastest way to "like" me on Facebook. I do greatly appreciate any "likes" that I receive, and  strongly encourage you to ask your friends to "like me."

On another ...

When to Create an Author Page?

https://encrypted-tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSsHtMWMcC9RoYoizcXgdV7pGmu9Rtw2eU6elpRAE1ZaBekPLNxThe answer to this question has eluded me for the past few weeks. At what point does an author create a "fan" page?

As we all know, social media is one of the most popular things on the internet right now. Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and so on. There are so many ways for people to advertise, it can sometimes be hard not to get overwhelmed. Facebook is one of the most popular, if not the most popular form of social media out there, and everyone has the option to create their own "page." I'm...

Published: ESTRA Corp.

I'm overwhelmed with joy! My first novel, ESTRA Corp., is officially for sale on the Lulu website! (http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/estra-corp/18793142). I'm so excited that this has finally happened, and I don't think the full feeling has actually set in yet.

I chose to self publish to start with, partly out of excitement, and partly because I feel like I might be able to get a good start on my own.

A big thanks goes out to my editor, Ashley Amidon, (You can find her blog at a

My First Second Draft… Huh?

I'm currently working on my first attempt at the second draft of my first novel, (so many firsts and seconds!), and I must say that so far it's going a lot better than I thought it would.

I received the last chapter from my editor and was pretty excited to start the second draft. However, the more I thought about it the more I just wanted to continue working on my second novel.

But, last night I finally found the ambition to start going through the edits and notes from my editor. I'm starting b...

The Writer's Niche

When it comes to the place where I write, I'm a bit of a nomad. I write anywhere I can use my laptop. Even when I'm home I seem to wander into different rooms to write. Sometimes it just helps me by getting a change of scenery.

However, I do dream of someday having a lavish office. I already have a desk for it with shelves for books and drawers for notepads. The office would surely contain my favorite books, and hopefully framed copies of some of my own books.

I feel like if I had a really...
