A Little Figment Fun
So, I joined Figment for a contest involving James Patterson. If I were to win, I would have gotten a chance for Little Brown to read my story. I didn't have the time to advertise my short little story for it, though, and I didn't even make the top two hundred. *sigh* It was sort of sad and depressing.
Anyway, so one night my friend was over and she asked me how to write. More specifically, she asked me how I write. Do I take notes, etc. Well, I told it depended on if I was going to write a novel. Other than that, I just let my fingers fly.
She wanted to see what I meant. So, I asked her to choose a topic, a boy's name, and what he likes to wear. She listed the movies, Riley, black sweats and tan shoes. So, I told her to pick a contest. She said the true love contest. Then I asked her to describe what he looks like. She did.
While she watched, I wrote a 500 word limit short story and entered it into the contest. I named the story after her. Now, she sits and watches the hearts roll in one by one. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to do what is required to win. So, I am hoping that I can get some help with my friends on here. If you want, I would greatly appreciate the help to win this contest. You have to create an account, unfortunately. If you don't want to and have some friends that could help me, please let them know about this.

If you don't want to go there but would love to read the story anyway, I posted it in my writing; along with all other short stories that I posted.
