Viruses and Rewriting Stories
Well something, a virus of some sort, attacked my computer. I had norton on but the virus managed to turn it off and then I could not even turn on my computer. I had to return the computer to a previous backed up spot just to get it turned on. When I checked for viruses(after turning Norton back on), I found over 100 threats to be removed. Ouch!!
Now, I have to start the process of rewriting the work that I hadn't had time to save. I usually put them on a notepad somewhere safe from computer fallout but I hadn't had the time lately. With my son's surgery, my husband being sick, and everything else in between.
I recently wrote a short story for a contest, glad that I turned it in already, and now I am going to have to rewrite it. I always write my stories on paper for my rough drafts so not all is lost. I just hope that when I re-write it, I edit the same way. I have a habit of changing a few things around when I type or adding more to the story.
I also had started writing a novel with my husband. I wasn't very far into that one so that can be fixed with no problem. But, just as I thought that I was finally slowing down, my time is now filled again. I promise to get to the stories that I promised to read as soon as possible.
