@KevinSwarbrick brings you the, 'Deliciously Scandalous Blog Tour'... With Author Vickie Mckeehan

Thank you for dropping by the ' Delicously Scandalous Blog Tour'. As you will all be aware from reading the last interview with the awesome author, Helle Soa Gade http://www.hellegade.wordpress.com/ . I wanted to to do an interview that puts the authors mind and personality to the test and also to show the reader, how great their creative minds actulaly are when put on the spot to answer some very tricky questions. Helle I am delighted to say past with flying colours and her answer where great, dont take my word on that and pease take a look for yourseleves, one great lady and one fantastic interview;  http://kswarbrick.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/delicously-scandalous-blog-tour-with.html

I wanted these interviews to be very creative and so far so good, It's always great to see what's behind the writers mine, I didn’t want the author holding back thinking ‘Should I write this?’ The whole idea of these interviews is to take the authors mind to a new leveal, I am delighted to say I have acheived that thank you to the awesome support and awesome answers.

My second victim is the lovely author, Vickie McKeehan

It really does give me great pleasure to introduce author Vickie McKeehan to you. It really is a great honour to have such a great author on my blogspot. I won't go on anymore, I'm dying to see what Vickie has to say; please can you tell the reader a little about yourself  Vickie.

Lover of coffee, chocolate, French fries and bacon. I think that covers the major food groups. I ♥ music and am never without my ear buds. I ♥all things outdoors, even rain because I don’t get to see it all that much. Not too crazy about the Santa Ana winds right now though :)

Cool so far you sound human to me, Vickie and no one likes wind, but it does depend who's doing the blowing at the time. Sorry that's my little crude humour coming into play and I haven't even started the interview yet. I think I best have before I scare you away!

Sometimes in life we all want more than what we can have, but if you had one wish to have anything or anyone, what would that wish be and why?

This is a trick question, right? Johnny Depp. Have you seen this guy? Because he’s totally hot :)

Johnny Depp? Is that someone famous? His name doesn't ring a bell. I'm only joking of course I know who he is, but he still won't be ringing my bell! I will end this crude talk now. let's keep it respectable ;)!

I would like to ask you to make a short story up using no more than 500 words containing every one of these 14 key words; Killer, River, Speech, Walking, Car, Dog poo, Hair, Sex, Kite, Lamp, Nails, Facebook, Knife, DM!

Kristen hadn’t clocked out of her job at the Lamp & Kite Factory until almost ten-thirty. She’d gotten stuck doing Steve’s job…again. She’d already missed most of the killer party the rest of the staff had been invited to attend. More than likely, her co-workers were, even now, at Kent’s house drinking beer, eating pizza and getting ready to pair up for a wild bout of sweaty sex. Now she’d have to DM her friends to let them know she had no intentions of spending time on her hair and nails just to show up to listen to the boss give some stupid, rah-rah speech about team spirit at work.

Walkingacross the dimly-lit parking lot, Kristen took out her cell phone to check her emails. Thumbing through her messages, she discovered her lying, cheating ex of a boyfriend Bob had posted to her Facebook timeline yet again for the tenth time that week. She made a mental note to cast him into the river of hell right alongside Angie, the blonde bimbo she’d caught him boffing not two weeks earlier. The weasel had the gall to beg for a second chance. Like that was ever going to happen.

Before reaching her ancient blue Maverick, a car she didn’t even bother locking anymore because the poor thing was older than she was by two decades, she slipped on dog poo on the pavement. Damn it, she thought, what else could go wrong tonight? These were her best Keds.

Running her hand down into her bag, she pulled out the utility knife she carried wherever she went. She used it to scrape off the smelly, sticky mess.

About that time a pickup skidded to a stop behind the Maverick. She recognized the vehicle belonging to the lying, cheating Bob. She watched as the man crawled out of his truck waving a gun. He swaggered around the hood to where she stood.

But before Bob could reach her, before he could utter a single threat, a shadow crossed between them. A powerful arm swooped down from the heavens jerking Bob up and out of his cowboy boots. In an instant Bob became airborne!

Mesmerized by the entire scene, Kristen’s eyes grew big. Her head dropped back on her shoulders as she gazed skyward. She watched in fascination as the alien spacecraft gathered Bob into its belly before closing the bay doors with a clang. Before Kristen could react, the ship lifted and the vessel streaked into the atmosphere.

Kristen stood there for another minute before glancing over at her pitiful Ford. Inspiration hit. She made her way around to the driver’s side of Bob’s pickup. Sure enough, he’d left the keys in the ignition. She threw her purse on the bench seat, crawled behind the wheel of Bob’s precious Dodge Ram and started up the engine. Kristen adjusted the rearview mirror, smiled then at her reflection and said out loud, “Karma might be a bitch but sometimes her timing is perfect.”

Hehe well done! You sure made that look easy! I love the story and the ending about Karma was just perfect :)

When I first started writing I had a lot of negative people around me, and I know I had to lose that energy in order to continue writing and fulfilling what others thought I couldn’t achieve. Did you ever experience any of this when you first started writing or were you lucky enough to have the right support around you?

There will always be naysayers and negative people who want nothing more than to drag you down to their level. Even in corporate, I saw negativity every single day and had to learn to cope with it. You’ll never fully rid yourself of all the negative energy. It would be great if you could do that but how you handle the negative influence is another matter entirely. You simply can’t let those types of people get to you. Not ever. No one has the right to stomp on someone else’s dream. No one.

I totaly agree with you, if you have dream no one should stand in your way. I will toast to that!

If you had a chance to run any country and make a difference, what county would it be and why?

Oh I’d buy my own island. It would be so incredible I’d probably have to fend off pirates at some point. But I’m an excellent shot. *wink wink*

Sounds great to me, we get pirates everywhere and we always keep fending them off!

What would you say the worse thing a reader has ever said to you and what was your reaction?

*giggles* Someone said my sweet little Promise Cove story was filth. Can you imagine a story about a former soldier suffering from PTSD, a widow left with a pile of bills, an adorable little toddler, and a dog…filth? *giggles again*

It sounds like life to me 'giggles'.

I would like you to vision yourself walking down a busy high street with your partner and suddenly there was a noise that came from his bottom and people turned around looking at you, what would your reaction be and why?

I’d look around and explain, “He isn’t completely potty-trained yet. But we’re getting there.”

Nice answer! 'Strain'... Sorry I hope you didn't hear that!!

Use only two words that would describe you?

Quirky. Funny.

I agree with you there.

Have you ever been…

A, The owner of a lonely heart

B. The owner of a broken heart

C. None of the above

If the answer is c, please can you tell the reader how you have done it, I can see the reader would being interested to know that one, I know I am.

Most definitely the owner of a broken heart. On some days, in some ways, I still am.

Not another broken heart! I am sorry ,Vickie. Please just remember your the owner of you're the owner of own heart, and whoever breaks it, where never worthy of it to begin with.

Its time for a little fun, I would like you to do the rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’. Using your own words and without holding back.

Shiny Sparkly sat in her Benz

Shiny Sparkly never saw the zoom lens

She scratched and she picked

She picked and she scratched

And the press caught it all in each snap, snap, snap, snap.

'Giggles' Yes you can rhyme! 'Love it'

When you are writing, do you ever think, 'Erm my partner and I did that last night, that has to go into the story as?

Fortunately for me, my partner is also a writer so he knows anything that happens is fair game and might end up in either one of the stories we happen to be working on at any given time. Sometimes I’m even lying there thinking, hmm, how can I describe this? LOL! That’s the toughest thing to do is to come up with new and different ways to phrase a hot scene. I put things in my stories all the time that happen to me personally so why not the best, the hottest stuff, too?

Husband and wife that are both writers... That could get messy. It kind of reminds me of the movie, 'Mr and Mrs Smith', but saying that, some people are lucky enough to meet normal partners and what's a bit of spilt ink between friends ;)That reminds me of the movie, 'Mr & Mrs Smith, only your both useing words for weapons instead of guns and knifes. We both know that the pen is mightier than the sword!

If you could be a Musical instrument, what would you be and why? I’d be an acoustical guitar. Because holy crap, I LOVE what Teddy Thompson does with one. When he sings and plays Looking for a Girl the idea of those fingers delicately touching, strumming each of my…strings…the tension. Wait. What was the question again? Because my mind totally wandered.

Ouch!! Yes my mind has gone too Vickie! 'Down boy!' Please lets move on to the next question while your mind is still steaming away ;)!

If you could change one thing about you as a person, what would that one thing be?I think I’m already changing that one thing. I used to be SO laid back I was pretty much a doormat. Some people took advantage of it. For about the last six / seven months, I’ve had to be MUCH different. Because this self-publishing thing is a business.

I will ditto that. I am lucky I haven't seen this change in you, but saying that we do engage in conversation and we understand the madness behind it all, not just our stories, we both know how tough it is out there, it's a lot of unending hours that people don't see. Itss hard work and I for one take my hat off to all authors out there. I know we all remember our first kiss, would you say yours was a good experience or a bad one?  Please explain why.

First kiss like in 2nd grade at the back of the playground when no one was looking or first kiss on a date? Because there’s a huge difference. If you’re asking about the first date kiss, it rocked!! Well the 2nd grade kiss wasn’t that bad either. But the first date guy definitely knew what to do with his mouth. He got major points in the tongue department, too!! And when a guy knows what to do with his hands and it all comes together, it makes for an incredible kiss! Plus, he was an excellent teacher and I was an eager study. Thanks to first date guy, I’ve gotten my fair share of compliments like, “you’re a really good kisser.” :) So if you’re out there Ben, if you’re ever reading this, thank you! Because you totally rocked!!

Lol he sounds a lot like me, not that you would know, but you have read my books, so you know a few ins and outs !  I must say that was nice shout out t, Ben there for rocking Vickie's world. Thumbs up to you Ben or whatever you got up at the time! 'Giggles'.

Do you ever remember a part in your life that’s made a huge impact on you as a person? If so what was it and why? Hmm, I’d have to say the first time a writing instructor ever told me he saw potential. I’d never had anyone say that before in such an official capacity unless I went back to Mrs. Brown’s 8th grade English class. That one statement, that praise made a huge impact on how I crafted Just Evil.

Its amazing how one statemeant can make a huge impact. I understand completly what you are saying. If it wasn't for the potential in me that got spotted by some amazing people including yourself then I might have given up a long time ago, but a new talent was born instead! Not Louie, he's always been one talented mother f..ker. 'Giggles'

Who inspired you to write or was it always a dream to be an author?I always wanted to be a writer. I’d write obituaries. I’d write ad copies. I’d volunteer to write about the blind guy who waited five years to get his seeing-eye dog. I’d start a neighbourhood newsletter. You get the gist. Even if it was crap, even if I had to write it seven times before anyone liked it, I’d keep at it until I made it better :)

I can vision you standing there saying read this or else lol! Saying that if it's out llike this interview then I would have read it, seven times over with a box of tissues handy! 'Giggles' I still want to know what that question was that made me into such a hard man ;)! '

Just one more question and then you can relax :)Can you tell the reader about your latest work and also tell the reader where they can find you?

My latest book is Lighthouse Reef, fourth book in the Pelican Pointe series where you meet sculptor Logan Donnelly and attorney Kinsey Wyatt. Logan’s come back to a town he hates while Kinsey’s trying to find her way as a brand-new lawyer.People can find me at

'Delicously Scandalous Blog Tour' With Author, Helle Soe Gade

For every one who has read my post will know I have never interviewed any authors yet, which is crazy considering I know thousands of authors, but for some time now I have been giving it some thought and like my work I wanted these interviews to be different and unique. I want them each to have their own individuality to match the author's personality who do participate.

I want to do an interview that put the author's mind to the test and also to show the readers how awesome their creative minds actually are when put on the spot.. This is a little more than just an interview, with great stories and fun questions, this is one blogspot that should hit the right spot...

My first victim is the lovely awesome author Helle Soe Gade.

Hi Helle, thank you for taking part in this blog challenge, I see you have brought an axe with you, I do hope you don't have to use it...  Now you are here armed and dangerous can you tell us a liitle about yourself ?

I first started writing in 2011 when all the action in my head got too much and writing became an outlet. It wasn't until October 2012 I wrote my first poem ever.  Four months later I published my first poetry collection "Silent Dreams" which readers have greeted very positively. When I'm not writing I take pictures and stuff myself with chocolate.

Sometimes in life we all want more than what we can’t have, but if you had one wish to have anything or anyone, what would that wish be and why?

A better health. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and that sucks! I know, I know, I ought to wish for world peace or to end hunger, but I’m only human. Well, mostly human with a pinch of devil ;-)

I am really sorry to hear about your health. We live in one world and your health comes before anything else. World peace will never happen even though its a lovely thought. Maybe one day!

Moving on from the gloom in life, lets have a little fun ;)

I would like you to make a short story up using no more than 500 words containing every one of these 14 key words; Lighter, Coat, Cat, remote control, Window, Dog poo, Eye, Sex, shoe, Lamp, TV, Spoon, DM!

I was sitting by the window with the TV running in the back ground, twirling the remote control in my hands. To staff of boredom I decided to check out Facebook. The ultimate black hole sucking you in and suddenly several hours is gone. It was the usual things that littered my timeline, inspirational pictures and quotes, cute animals, people’s lunches, authors pawning off their books and lots of drama.

Suddenly I noticed I had a DM. I opened it and there was a picture of a big hunk of eye candy looking out at me. He was ruggedly handsome, black hair with a white streak, strong cheekbones, full lips and intense azure blue eyes. He was licking a spoon of what I can only guess was nutella. I have no idea of how long I was looking at him, but I’m pretty sure that I was drooling. There was no text with the pic and when I tried to access his profile I was thrown back to my own timeline.  Damn Facebook and their constant changes.

I decided to walk off my Facebook anger. I put on my shoes which smelled suspiciously of dog poo, though there was nothing to see.  I grabbed my summer coat and went out into the slightly chilly night. As I rounded the corner to the park I saw him sitting under the street lamp. He had a black and white coat and a big fluffy tail. He was looking straight at me, unnerving me a bit. He got up and walked towards me. Slowly and leisurely as only a cat can. The next thing I know there was a flash and instead of a cat, my mysterious stranger from the Facebook DM was walking towards me. It was pure sex stalking towards me. His eyes freezing me in place. As he reached me he kept walking, forcing me to back up until my back hit the park wall. He placed his hands on each side of my head, leaning in until his lips hovered above mine. My breath rattled out of my lounges in short bursts as his tongue sneaked out licking my lips. He slid his knee between my legs, my whole body shuddering at the contact.  His right hand gapped my neck and his left my thigh, running up under my short skirt. I felt my panties being ripped off and his fingers finding my soft core. I moaned loudly leaving my mouth open for him to invade. He tasted of nutella. While his tongue explored my mouth, his fingers brought me to an intense climax, causing me to blackout for a short moment. When I opened my eyes he was gone. The black and white cat once again sitting under the street lamp, though now he was ignoring me. I pulled myself together and hurried home. As I took off my coat, a card with a zippo lighter pic and a phone number fell out of the pocket.

Now that I like, but my problem is now I want to read what happens next...

When I first started writing I had a lot of negative people around me, I know I  had to lose that energy in order to continue writing and fulfilling what others thought I couldn’t do. Did you ever experience any of this when you first started writing or was you lucky enough to have the right support around you?

One day I told my mom that I was going to write a book, her reply was “about time” and then she proceeded to tell me that she was going to write one too called “My Life As A Horse.”

I’m very lucky to have a family that supports me in everything I do. I’m truly blessed.

It must me great to have a supportive family who believe in what you are doing...

If you had a chance to run any country and make a difference, what county would it be and why?

I’d start with my own country, Denmark and when DK was running smoothly, then the whole nation could help other countries get on their feet too.

That sounds great to me...

What would you say the worse thing a reader has ever said to you and what was your reaction?

I have been lucky and only get positive feedback so far *knock on wood*

That's always good to hear Helle...

I would like you to vision yourself walking down a busy high street with your partner and suddenly there was a noise that came from his bottom and people turned around looking at you, what would your reaction be and why?

If I had a partner he would be smart enough to hurry and ask out loud “Did you just fart?” effectively blaming me for his noise.

I thought it was me that did that 'Giggles'...

Use only two words that would describe you?

 Chocoholic, Loony

Theres not a thing wrong in that, look at me and I like chocolate :)...

Have you ever been…

A, The owner of a lonely heart

B. The owner of a broken heart

C. None of the above?

If the answer is C, please can you tell the reader how you have done it, I can see the reader would being interested to know that one, I know I am.

 B.

Awww I am sorry. The key is to keep smiling and always leave your heart open for the next chapter to start...

Its time for a little fun, I would like you to do the rhyme ‘Mary had a little lamb’. Using your own words and without holding back.

  I seriously suck at rhyming!
Lucy had a big bad ass
  Swinging it with major sass
Causing men to fall on their ass.

When you are writing, do you ever think, 'Erm me and my partner did that last night, that has to go into the story as?

I’m sure that if I had a partner there would be episodes I could use in a book. Previous experiences has certainly inspired some of my poetry.

I can't say anything to that other than read my books, their all in there...

If you could be a Musical instrument, what would you be and why?

I would totally be a cello.  Big, curvy, easy for a man to embrace with his whole body and a lot of strings to play on. Tihihi It sounds lush instrument to play, but having strings to play? Have you ever thought of waxing! Just a thought... Anyway moving on 'Giggles'

If you could change one thing about you as a person, what would that one thing be?

NO! I would like to be better to say no and not feel guilty for saying it.

I can't help you on that one. I have the same problem at this end, I am riggled in gult when it come to saying no, thats just going to the bar ;)!
I know we all remember our first kiss, would you say yours was a good experience or a bad one?  Please explain why.

It was a New Year’s Eve and a bit awkward, because I had no clue what to do. Luckily me boyfriend did.

At least one of you knew what you was doing. My first kiss was when I was around 10, I think it was a kiss anyway, there was no rain that day other than what came off her tong that was lashing against my chin at the time. Thinking about it now, she was just washing my face...

Do you ever remember a part in your life that’s made a huge impact on you as a person. If so what was it and why? That must have been when my grandfather died.
I was lucky to grow up living next door to my grandparents.  They had a small farm, so there was always someone home when my brother and I got home from school.  He was such a big influence in my life and it broke my heart when he died.

I can rate to that. I did a small poem for my grandad on my youtube video, Louie Has Landed 'The Early Days' to keep his memory alive. I don't think there's a day that goes by with out me thinking about him...

Who inspired you to write or was it always a dream to be an author?I started writing because all the people in my head was becoming really loud. It’s not like it was a life-long dream or anything and I knew how hard it was to be published, so I just started writing to quiet the voices. Luckily I met Melissa Craig on Twitter the same year and learned about self-publishing.  The fact that Melissa herself was a newly published author and had only been writing for a year, was a huge inspiration to me.  Shortly after I met Charity Parkerson through Melissa and they have both helped me so much in my publishing endeavours. Reading the works of poets Amber-Jerome Norrgard, Ben Ditmars, Robert Zimmermann, Mark Rice and Writers Inc inspired me to start writing poetry, which has lead me to publish two poetry collections.

Can you tell the reader about your latest work and also tell the reader where they can find you.

Nocturnal Embers is a collection of poetry and poetic images that comes from the heart and soul of the author. It tells about the life of a person who suffers from chronic pain. Of the thoughts that prey on her in the Night. Of the simple joys we must not forget. All with a touch of Nordic mythology.

Kevin Swarbrick 'Delicously Scandalous Blog Tour' is coming very soon.
One blog post not to be missed.

For every one who has read my post will know I have never interviewed any authors yet, which is crazy considering I know thousands, but for some time now I have been giving it some thought and like my work I wanted these interviews to be different and unique. I want them each to have their own individuality to match the author's personality who do participate.

I want the interview to be funny, sexy and just basically kept real; I don’t want the author holding back thinking, ‘Should I write this?’ The whole idea of these interviews is to take the authors' mind in a whole new direction and learn more about their bubbly personality and how their mind's work, 'with no holding back'.

I have many great awesome authors lined up who are more then wiling to put this challenge and their mind's to the test. I know I can't wait to find out what their answers are going to be... This really is one blogspot not to be missed ;)

'Passion' One Deliciously Scandalous Story Not To Be Missed

Short Bio for those who don't know me :)
I am  a new self-published Author and  in  January 2012,  I self-published  Louie Has Landed 'The Early Days' and in February 2012,  Louie Has Landed  'The Second Encounter' was born for others to enjoy the good times and the bad times which relationships can bring.  When I first started to write these stories, they were meant to be as one full story, but unfortunately the heart just kept writing and by the time I had finished I had to make the story into two books because of the maximum word count that was allowed to upload at the time. I had only gone over by 16.900 words, 'Oh dear' I then had to go back to the drawing board to make them into two great stories.
My stories that I do write are based on true life experiences, which range from many things,  being bullied at school at a young age, family break ups, romance, affairs, erotic times, destruction and so much more including that magic word love!    There's been a lot of pain in my life, and also a lot of great times, but unfortunately the bad times outweighed the good times. I decided to change all that, and I put all my thoughts and energy into writing.

I am delighted to say that I did take the bull by the horns again, and I now bring you the full story in one fantastic novel. Louie Has landed 'The Early Days' and Louie Has Landed 'The Second Encounter’ has risen to bring you 'Passion' and anyone who reads it will see there is plenty of that in this fantastic story, but all in a good way of course.

My main focus has been on the dialogue and keeping the story flowing at a much faster pace and getting everything as perfect as it should be. I have surprised myself with how far I have come and how much I have learned and improved dramatically along the way.

Sometimes in your life you may think that the world has ended, and your life couldn't get much worse and all you want to do is give up. I want others to be inspired and to see that no matter what background you have come from, or how hard life gets, you can pick yourself up and follow your dreams.

Introduction          This novel is based on the story Louie Has Landed ‘The Early Days’ And Louie Has Landed ’The Second Encounter’  I was asked if I could I make these two stories into one complete novel, a task I didn’t think was possible, until now.Passion is based on a true story with all the ins and outs of what happens when people find themselves caught up in a love triangle, and before you know it, you're caught up in an affair. Some people go into affairs without knowing and others go in knowing that the other person is married. Some do it because they seek the attention, and some just do it for the fun and the fun of not getting caught. Sometimes the person having the affair is confused. Perhaps, it could be that two people have just fallen for each other and don’t know how to pull away because of the chemistry and the passion and sometimes love that’s involved.        Whatever the reason, affairs do happen every day with people that you wouldn’t think twice about, are doing it. With society the way it is today, it seems to be a case of,  ‘if you get bored then you have an affair’, but can an affair work out?     Love is truly the greatest thing. ’It really is’, but it crosses the same lay line as hate. Sometimes this can be balanced out, but if you can’t find that balance well… We live and learn and this is an amazing thing we humans can do.      My life has been what some may describe as, an ‘eye opener.’ I have met some lovely women and some crazy women, but of all the women, there was one woman that was a dream come true for me.    My story tells of the secret behind closed doors. Deliciously scandalous some would say. This is your chance to see love through a man’s prospective and share the wild intimate times along with the crazy fun times.    Sometimes your mind can wonder as mine did and out came all the insecurities that lie deep behind the surface. With a great dialog comes real life with warts and all… I am pleased to say that 'passion' is now available on Amazon Kindle and will be in paperback very soon :)   I am delighted to say that 'Passion' is number one in the votes on Goodreads in the, Love-hate Relationships category. This is really is one Deliciously Scandalous story, well worth checking out :)Amazon.com http://amzn.to/XHFDcKAmazon.co.uk http://amzn.to/ZOWU56 Facebook http://on.fb.me/16Zo7PX Twitter http://bit.ly/Yhsm5U Goodreads http://bit.ly/10ZLhnE Linkedin http://linkd.in/h84wli
