Downright Nasty
I'm nearing completion of a Science Fiction Romance I've been writing for the last several years. This wasn't supposed to be an erotic romance, but that's what's landed on the page. I can't make the dirty scenes go away, no matter how much I try. I've censored this thing time and time again, only to have the explicit parts creep back in during rewrites.
Just because two people originated on different worlds doesn't make romance between them wrong. They're adults and basically human, outwardly similar anyway. And if menage is normal for one of the species, then it's okay for a guy to indoctrinate someone from the other, if she's happy with that, right?
Do all the juicy details really need to be there? I've been debating that question all along and don't have a good answer. I will say the story is more fun with them than without.
