In 1992, a uniquely curious man in the Chinese village of Longyou pooled his money with his neighbors to buy a water pump and began siphoning out the pond in his village, only to eventually discover that it wasn’t really a pond at all, but the flooded entrance to an ancient, man-made cave. Upon investigation, it turned out that, rather than the entrance to Chinese Batman’s secret lair, this cave was one in a network of 36 hidden chambers in the area, all dating back to the early Han dynasty, about 2,000 years ago. We’d like to tell you more about them, but the modern world’s knowledge of the subterranean caves of Chinese mystery begins and ends with that single fact. We literally know nothing else about them.

I won’t deny that there’s educational value in knowing the exact mechanics of the ol’ gamete rodeo. But I will say that — with many of these drawings — it’s unclear where pedagogy ends and “the artist was obviously wanking the whole time” begins. Well, one guy alone drew dozens of them. If you’re a Madison Avenue type who needs public domain bukkake clip art to advertise your client’s shoehorn, now you know where to go.
ckburch here is the whole .. hole… yeah..
I laughed out loud way too hard at this.

It’s that time of the month where The California Kings have little footage to turn into something grand, and/or we’ve just got a buncha videos backlogged and decided to screw around whilst playing a fun little game. Hence, the inaugural episode of something we like to call “F*ck It, Let’s Play” in which nothing of note happens, but we fall all over ourselves laughing. Like, comment, and subscribe!

Eidolon is...

Eidolon is a hard game to sell.
It’s a game about exploring a huge area - mountains, lakes, hills, forests - and finding mementos and diaries, which slowly start forming a story. There are mild survival aspects, but since food and timber is plenty, it’s almost impossible to starve or die. Just don’t hug a bear.
"What’s the point in a open world that has no danger?" one might ask. The answer is walking. The answer is exploration. The answer is getting lost.
This game is the closest approximation to what exploring places actually feels like. The map is just a piece of paper and gives no clue about your current location. You start marching north, thinking that you figured out where you are right now. Then you stumble upon a river. Something is wrong. The map says there shouldn’t be a river. You’ve been drifting west because you wanted to circumvent that mountain.
And now you are lost, but it’s not a bad thing. You set up camp and follow the river in the morning. You will find mementos, try to shoot a fox and fail horribly. Pick up mushrooms, find a spying glass, notice weird steel complexes in the distance, approach them. Most have fallen down and look broken.
You follow a breadcrumb trail of newspaper articles, notes and letters. Find a half-submerged settlement peaking from a shallow river-swamp. The music changes according to environment and weather, but stays unfailingly beautiful.
Eidolon is perfect for people who enjoy hiking and exploring nature. It’s just the best thing for evoking a sense of grand space and being lost.
Got this on an indiecade sale and I keep eyeing it. Maybe a night I’m burned out on GW or shootymen…
Oh my, now this looks right up my alley. Such a beautiful time sink you’ll be.
You had me at exploring without dying

In this slightly-longer-than-normal episode, King Chris goes all in and plows through the last chapters of The Old City — Behemoth, The Leap, The New, and Leviathan! Does the walking simulator concept pay off? What religious imagery is held within, and what mysteries do they reveal about the story itself? Brace yourself for theorizing, because the end of the game is in sight, and it’s a bit of a doozy. Thanks for watching this series, Loyal Subjects! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe!

Sam & Max are back to investigate what appears to be a possessed Santa Claus. On their quest to cleanse the jolly old elf, they encounter ticking presents, engage in a friendly game of rigged trivia, and enter a boxing ring to fight a bunch of rats. Will they help Saint Nick, and will they be able to talk Jimmy off that ledge? Stick around, fans!
