Wednesday New Releases in SciFi and Fantasy Romance for August 24

Trapped on Talonque Final-FJM_High_Res_1800x2700I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts LOL) and as always I recommend sampling before you buy!

I put them in the order in which they come to me from authors or I find them myself in the previous week, so it’s a mix of the genres…(usually giving priority to the books brought to my attention by the authors.) Also the term “new” is generally plus or minus a week or two. And I catch up on ones I missed in recent mont...

Veronica Does a Magazine Book Quiz

Entertainment Weekly magazine runs an occasional feature where they ask famous people about books or pop culture in their lives, so I’ve decided to tackle a sampling of their fun questions!

kids booksBook I Loved As A Child: Can’t possibly stick to just one! As a little kid I loved Golden Books. You can see a certain theme in the ones I’ve photographed (yes, I have a handful of books from my childhood, more than I can get into the picture). I also loved Heidi and Swiss Family Robinson. There was also a...

Guest Author Liza O’Connor THE CRIMELORDS’ WAR

Crimelord book 7 bk final 400x640Veronica: Because I don’t exclusively talk about science fiction and fantasy! Liza is back to introduce her characters and give us an excerpt:

MEET BARNS

Barns is a mixture of high intelligence and petulance. Almost all of his fellow officers at Scotland Yard hold him in contempt. They believe the only reason why Barns received a place and is given the most interesting cases is because he’s related to some big-wig in parliament. (This is all conjecture on their part, but it’s pretty accurate....
