Part 13 of the New Year Novella has been posted.

[image error]Thank you to everyone who has sent me touching emails and comments recently. I hope all of you and your loved ones are keeping well.

If you’re in need of a little entertainment, then I finished part 13 of the New Year Novella literally two minutes ago, and I’ve just posted it on the website.

It’s been an especially difficult week

[image error]It’s been a hard week for everyone. In the case of my family, there’s been the extra stress of losing someone important nine days ago, which is especially difficult in a situation that means a standard funeral won’t be possible.

That means Part 12 of the New Year Novella, The End, and the New Beginning, isn’t as long as I’d intended. My apologies that it doesn’t end at an ideal point, and yes, I’m fully aware of some echoes of reality.

The truth is that Jarra is a very different person to me, but the Earth Girl trilogy contained a lot of echoes of my reality. As I often say, after a long period where my background illness meant I couldn’t leave the house, I started writing the story of a girl who couldn’t leave this planet.

Part 11 of the New Year Novella has been posted

Part 11 of the New Year Novella, The End, and the New Beginning, has been posted. I’m guessing there are at least two more parts to come, possibly three.

The real world is growing more and more dystopian by the hour. The last few days have been especially distressing for myself and my family. I know that many people reading this will have been finding things hard too.

Escaping into writing my stories helps me cope in difficult times. I hope that reading my stories helps you too.

Part 10 of the New Year Story

[image error]Part 10 of the New Year Story (actually a novella), The End, and the New Beginning, has been posted. The end of the story isn’t here quite yet, but I think it may be coming into view on the horizon!

The plan is that this novella will eventually be published as part of a collection of stories set after Earth Flight. The provisional title of the collection is Earth Prime, and I even have a provisional cover, though I’m not estimating a publication date yet.

Part 9 of the New Year Story

For some reason my head keeps thinking of the latest addition to the New Year story as part 10, but it’s actually only (only???) part 9. You can read The End, and the New Beginning Parts 1 to 9 here.
