Happy Wednesday!

I read an article about writing that suggested making an outline to aid in getting your story going.  A good idea if you're organized enough.  Personally...my thoughts aren't that linear.   I tend to bounce around a bit while writing and then sort it all out as I go.

Cracking my knuckles in preparation to begin writing.  I've had a few good (I think) ideas for Shelby and Paul. Wish me luck!!  
     

Help!

I can't seem to stop the flow of ideas.  I keep writing stuff on pieces of paper and sticky notes.  They're everywhere!  I'm sure most of them will come to naught in the name of good writing, but I'm still writin' 'em down.  Hubby gave me a little recording device that should come in handy, especially when I'm driving...  ;~)      

2nd Book

Got my second book off to my group of trusted manuscript readers. So far, good reviews for The Concrete Gnome which is a quasi-true story about my dad and me. A few changes to make and then ready to go.

Writing

Most authors recommend writing every day.  I have to confess that I'm finding this difficult to do, especially on the days I work at my other job.  However, even when I'm not actually sitting at my computer writing, I'm thinking about it - going over story lines in my head, or jotting down notes (I'm going to get a little recorder for thoughts I have while driving...much safer).  ;~)  Marketing takes up a lot of my time too, and I resent it a little, but I know it's a necessary "evil" if I want, eventually, to be able to write full-time.  Writing is becoming an obsession for me.  When I'm not writing, I'm thinking about it and want to be writing.          

Spring??

Had a great walk this morning with the pooches.  Cool, but sunny and beautiful.  Is spring here...dare I ask? 
Got some really great suggestions and comments from my sisters on The Concrete Gnome.  Now I just have to make a few changes, send it out to my group of readers for fine-tuning, then it'll be ready for final edit.  YAY! 

Just another manic Monday...

Actually, it's a rainy, windy Monday. That's okay, I have some writing to do anyway. I was going to take my doggies for a walk, but I'm afraid I might melt! ;~)

Monday, Monday

It's a beautiful, snowy Monday here in North Idaho. The sun was out this morning lighting up the snow-covered trees.
Still working on The Concrete Gnome...a lot to do yet...but it's coming along.

Snowy Monday

Hey!
It's Monday and snowing to beat the band. It's really pretty, but the wind is blowing just enough to make it a mini-blizzard - not much fun to go out in that!
Still working on The Concrete Gnome. Getting it polished up a bit for a second read by my trusty group of pre-publishing constructive critics.
