I’m so excited to be launching the next book in the Pale Queen trilogy. It has been a fantastic couple days. Not only was I able to hang out at sunny YALLWest over the weekend and meet some fantastic authors and fans (shout out to those who hung out after the Safe Spaces panel!), but I received the beautiful cover for the final Pale Queen book, Black Ice Burning. I also finished my final round of edits on it, and damn–I cannot wait for you to read this book. It’s currently the longest novel I’ve written, and I think it hits all the high notes. Prepare for a ride you’ll remember for a long time….

BUT!

That’s a fair ways away, and right now, we should be focusing on the fact that

PALE QUEEN RISING IS CURRENTLY ON SALE FOR $2.

Yeah, that’s right. For the full month of May, the first book in the Pale Queen series is less than a small drip coffee. So if you haven’t started this epic adventure of kickass assassins, sexy demonic assistants, and everyone’s favorite smartass magician, here’s your chance. The first two books in the series are wicked cheap!

And if I haven’t said it before…Cold Dream Dawning gets pretty intense.

I sure hope it all works out in the end.

And now, two years after the publication of MARTYR, that magic is returning.

Yes, friends. I am so excited to finally announce that the full Hunted trilogy is being re-released by my amazing team at SimonPulse, now under the series title The Runebinder Chronicles.

As many of you know, this was the book that got me my fabulous agent, Laurie McLean. And we are both thrilled to have found a new home for this world of broken magic, twisted monsters, and tragic heroes. And the sexiest damn villain I’ve ever written.

The most exciting part is that this will not just be a re-release. No, we are going through and fully editing the first book, MARTYR, so it will be a completely different beast. I cannot wait to once more explore this world of chakra magic and mystic runes, powerful sidekicks and bittersweet romance. The monsters are mean. Love is fragile. And the world hangs in the balance.
(& yes, I’m pumped to get back to my favorite gay protagonists!)

Leading up to the release, my friend Beatrice Schares and I will be rebooting an exclusive webcomic featuring new, exciting scenarios. No previous exposure to the series necessary!

Thunder, swords, and sorcery

Hi friends–

A much-needed update is at hand!

There are many exciting things brewing in my neck of the woods, and the coming months are going to see a ton of big developments. I can’t wait to share the journey with you. But, for now, a few things!

Full [paper] Jacket

Okay, so, I know it’s odd for me to do a separate blog post about the full jacket for Shades of Darkness, but it is just SO DAMN PRETTY. Did they not to the most amazing job? The back text! The colors! It’s just one beautiful piece of art. Which is perfect, since the whole book is set in an art school.

I cannot wait to be able to hold one of these babies. More importantly, I can’t wait for YOU to get to read it!!

Of Burning Men and Frozen Queens

Hey friends,

I write this on Aug 25th, but with the magic of technology, it should publish on September 1st. I only say that because, today–well, September 1st–is a pretty big day. And I’ll be off the grid for it.

But I still wanted to share the awesomeness officially.

Today, as many of you have probably seen, the first book in the spin-off series to Immortal Circus–PALE QUEEN RISING–goes on sale thanks to the Kindle First program.

This means that, if you are a Prime member, you get to read the book a month early. For free!

Very exciting!

If you aren’t a Prime member, no worries–you can still get the book for $1.99. Which is pretty damn cheap, and still a month earlier than otherwise scheduled!!! The physical/audio copies will still be available in October, as expected.

And, you’ve probably noticed, books 2 & 3 (COLD DREAM DAWNING and BLACK ICE BURNING, respectively) are already up for pre-sale!

AND in the month of September, the full Immortal Circus series is on sale for $2/book!

While all this fun stuff is happening, I’ll be chilling (probably not the right word) in the desert with a bunch of hippies and setting things on fire.
