Authors I Love: Sommer Marsden
I loved Sommer the author before I loved Sommer the person, I admit it. She’s one hell of a writer: hot and a touch snarky, she has clever characters and a wicked wit.
More importantly? I love Sommer the person. She makes me laugh, she shares the best gluten free things, she cheers me on, and she straight up makes me happy. I’m flat-out rooting for her.

The Terms of Release Playlist
So. Sage and Win. Y’all.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I love these boys. Sage is an ex-con, Win is a sheriff. What could POSSIBLY go wrong? ;-)
It’s a fact that I need playlists. They’re vital to my process and Sage and Win are no different. Now most of the songs on the list are just… it’s a feeling, huh? Something that makes me go, that’s for the boys. (Also, for those that are keeping score, it’s THESE versions.) A few of the songs are vitally important and those I’ve marked for you.
Here's Sage and Win's playlist:
A Modern Day Prodigal Son by Brantley Gilbert — this is the song that started everything. I mean, everything. I heard this and, although I’d heard it 100 times, it was like listening to it for the first time and… Sage was born.

Six Sentence Sunday -- Colts and Cowboys (WIP)
Just when he thought the coast was clear, little Sara piped up. “Mommy, how can you have two daddies?”
Oh, great. Just what he needed, for Randi to lose another friend.
“Well, I reckon there’s lots of ways.” Thank God Audie was the one who answered.

Authors I Love: Stephen King
Okay, so yeah. You either love him or hate him, but Stephen King is probably my favorite storyteller of all time. I’ve read them all. I have an opinion on them all.
I have favorites.
I love It with a fiery burning passion of a zillion suns and The Stand is one of my favorite books ever. The Shining will forever be in my top ten. And then there are the short stories. I maintain that Mr. King is one of the greatest short story writers in history.
You don’t agree?
Read The Boogeyman. Or Gramma.
The Mangler.
*shivers happily*
Yeah. My favorite of all time, y’all.

“Is he old as you, Daddy?”
“He’s older than PopPop, kiddo.”
“Uh-uh. Nobody’s older than PopPop.”
“Oh, yes. Mr. Dillmon down to the feed store? He’s old enough to be PopPop’s daddy.”
Grainger’s eyes went wide. “For real?”
