Backlist Spotlight: Santa’s Executive
In the past few months I’ve found out that I have an amazing amount of new readers that I can’t wait to share more with. Some have found me through social media, some through bundles, others through search engines or conferences. I am blessed to have every one of you.
Since I first published in 2011, my backlist has grown considerably and some people are unsure of where to start reading. Also, sometimes, between newsletters, Facebook, Twitter, and other places, sometimes you STILL miss when I have a new release. I do my best to make sure it gets out there, but with so many books out there and with the fact we all have lives outside of reading (Shocking! I know), its easy to miss.
So for the next month or so I will be spotlighting each of my books with some fun trivia, buy links, FAQs, and other things that come to mind when I see one of my books. I encourage you to comment and talk to me about where you first heard of this particular book and if you’re read it. If you haven’t had a chance to read yet, well, what are you waiting for? Best Memory: I loved coming up with Jack Frost (yes, that guy) and random cookie and baked good curse words for Rina. Yes, this is a fun story. A sexy one for sure, but it was fun!
Trivia Fact: I wrote this one right after Enforcer’s Redemption. I was so drained emotionally that I think that’s why Santa’s Executive is so cute. Yes, it’s a bit scary, sexy, and steamy, but come on, it has the freaking North Pole in it! LOL
Where did the idea come from? I was just about to fall asleep one night when I thought of writing a Redwood Pack Christmas novella. But if any of you had read Enforcer’s Redemption (up next in these spotlights!) you know that it really wouldn’t have worked out timeline wise. Not with what happened in that book. Then I thought, well, I really want a Christmas book. And maybe more holidays. So I tried to sleep and came up with the Cooper Brothers and Holiday Montana. All five books are about different holidays or special moments in a child’s life.

She smiled up at him, and he bit his tongue. He had no idea what he was, what he was doing, or how the hell he was going to get through this holiday season. All he could think about was the fact that her smile brightened up her face and made him want to kiss her. It was the most frustrating thing ever. She bounced on her feet, slowly unwrapped the thick scarf from around her neck, and removed her hat. Silently, afraid he would say something stupid, like he wanted to bend her over a table or something. He took the scarf and hat from her, and he hung them up on the rack by the door. She took off her coat, and he hung it on the rack too.
This wasn’t going to end well.
She wore a green knit dress. The long sleeves slid halfway down her palms and had a turtleneck so that he couldn’t see any cleavage. Disappointed, he trailed his gaze down her body, loving and hating the way the dress hugged her curves. It ended about mid-thigh, and she wore thick white tights tucked into dark brown knee-high boots. She looked like a sexy wet dream of an elf. All she needed was her hair down so he could run his hands through it and wrap it around his fists.

Backlist Spotlight: Enforcer’s Redemption

Best Memory: This was the hardest overall book I ever had to write. Adam had lost his mate decades prior, and in doing so, had literally lost part of his soul. Mating Bay was an accident and they both knew it. Adam just wouldn’t give in and forgive himself and Bay wouldn’t give up on Adam. My favorite memory is when all was well, even when it wasn’t. For those of you who read the book, you know what I mean.
Trivia Fact: I had always known what was going to happen to Adam at the end of the book. I didn’t do it because I like hurting people. I promise. What happened to Adam brought Bay and him together. And if you’ve read the rest of the series, have helped him grow as a person.

Though in retrospect, that worked out perfectly because, honestly, Matt needed help the most!

A crash from the living room brought Bay out of a fitful sleep. She pulled herself to a sitting position, her belly getting in the way. Someone mumbled a curse, and she inhaled their scent.
Adam and Maddox.
A very drunk Adam and a slightly inebriated Maddox.
Oh, goody, just what she needed; a drunken wolf who probably didn’t know she was in his bed and wanted her nowhere near him. Oh, what fun.
She pulled down the extra-large shirt she wore so it hit her mid-thigh even over her belly and waddled out to the living room, her ankles aching with each step. When she got out to the living room, she shook her head. Maddox had Adam draped over his shoulders and a sheepish expression on his face.
“Sorry, Bay. Didn’t mean to wake you,” Maddox said as he carried a very drunk Enforcer past her and into the bedroom.
“What happened?” It was like déjà vu. The first time she’d seen Adam he’d been drunk, and here he was again. Was this something he did often?
Maddox dropped Adam on the bed and shook his head. “Drank too much.”
“I guessed that, but why?”
Maddox turned to her with so much emotion in his eyes that she almost staggered from the weight of it. All of that couldn’t be just him. How on earth did he live like that as the Omega?
“He’s had a long day,” he said simply, and Bay under her breath.
