How to Stay Motivated & Finish What You Start

How do you stay motivated to finish that project you've started, once begun?

That is the question. For 2 years now I haven't finished any manuscript I've started. The most I've written was half a novel. Like 20,000 words then just abandoned it. The last manuscript I abandoned was 3000 words long, but usually my projects get tossed aside after a few hundred words.

Maybe if I blog about it I can brainstorm my way into finishing what I start.

How to write a novel if you've a short attention span

 

Having a short attention span is a good thing, honestly. Especially in writing. Short stories, essays, blog posts, articles, content / copy writing. If you have a short attention span it means you highly focus and concentrate on one thing while you're working on it. However, be forewarned, if that focus is interrupted it tends to evaporate from interest with instant effect.

Superpower

 I love writing my space adventure novels. It all started with Superstellar. I wanted to write a story about a pink-haired space princess teenager. So I did!

And then I wrote Superpower. Sort of the sequel to Superstellar, but with a new protagonist called Jendy. Who's also age 18. Like Stella was in Superstellar.

My Favourite Audiobooks From 2020

It takes me ages of searching and sample listening to find good audibooks to listen to, but when I find gems I feel the need to share them so that others will know to "read" them as well! Seriously, I loved the audiobooks that follow below...

Happy Mid-Pandemic New Year. Friday 1 January 2021

I don’t think I published anything new in 2020. I just couldn’t write. The pandemic threw me. I mean, I had to work and be a home schooling mom at the same time, so the stress and worry was overload city.

Towards the end of the year I started to slowly realise how I’d get back to writing. I was back and forth on using a new pen name and starting over, but that has never worked for me. For anyone really.

There are extensive delays to the publication of Superpower in audiobook for download. I'm terribly sorry about this, but it's due to Covid and delays with the production verification. When I know Superpower is available on audible (etc) I'll let the world know straight away!

Blogging A Novel

Years ago I blogged the first draft of a novel while I wrote it, and I thought I'd do the same again. 
So here's what I've got so far on Supernatural. The final instalment in my Superduper trilogy. Superstellar is available now in audiobook, paperback, and ebook. Superpower is available in ebook, and paperback. Sorry but there are major delays with releases of audiobooks due to Covid set-backs. Unfortunate, I know.
