New Cover for Trouble in Paradise 10/6/22

I can't believe I haven't seen The Lost City yet. That movie is kind of like my book Trouble in Paradise. Maybe The Lost City is on my Amazon fire tv, I'll check and see tonight. And yeah, I've updated the cover for my novel Trouble in Paradise. It's a fun adventure. Chloe's world really gets turned upside down, hence the cover image.

All Chloe Morgan wants is to join her fiancé in Hawaii and marry him asap. So she relocates from England faster than ducks fly south for winter to be in the warm. ...

Matrimony Malfunction cover update 9/6/22

It's right fitting that I changed my novel cover for Matrimony Malfunction, back to the former cover. I feel frustrated not having lost any weight since last Thursday. I went to the Forest of Dean and ended up hiking almost 6 miles. I felt so exhausted going uphill, back from the Wye River, that I kept stopping thinking I was going to puke and cry. But I made it back to base camp. And the next day I stepped on the scale to 2 lb weight loss. That was awesome. What's not awesome is that's the last...

Great Googly Lucy new cover 7/6/22

Here's the newest cover of Great Googly Lucy!

It should update this week in print and then you can get it here. Happy reading.

Lucy Warner is fed up with being unappreciated at her job in midwest America. So she headhunts herself and relocates to a much better career path in the English countryside. Or so she thinks. What she’s not prepared for, in any way whatsoever, is the culture shock. It’s the little things that affect her. Also, when not one but two incredibly handso...

Chick Lit

I just listened to a Romantic Comedy novel on Audible. I haven't done that in a while. I can't quite believe I was in the mood for it, but since I moved back to my home town I've been so happy, and I guess Chick Lit is my happy place when it comes to writing. So maybe I'll write a new chick lit novel. I mean, the rom com I just 'read' wasn't hilarious, unless you consider the scenarios to be hilariously improbable in real life, but I was okay with that. The story was cute, and sometimes that's ...

Are all my favourite authors male?

This blog post is here for the purpose of figuring out if my favourite authors are all men. And what does that say about me as a reader, as a writer, as a woman? Nothing really, I guess I simply love the books of these authors who just so happen to be men.

Happy New Year 2022

Off to an early start this morning at 3am! I woke up and folded laundry, of all things to do on new year's day. But whatever! It needed doing.
Next, I worked on some uni studies of The Blues. I just did Archaic Greek and Classical Roman sculpture studies yesterday as part of my Open University degree. It's interesting stuff. I've got the blues in my head. Not the actual depressed blues emotionally, I've got the jive and songs in my mind!
After my studies I wrote 1000 words of a new novel. It's rea...

Jingleballs by Suz Korb

Funny, sexy, magical, time travel, Christmas. What more could you want?

Who knew doing a dodgy favour for a friend could lead to such joy at Christmas time? It's Christmas Eve and it's a lonesome one for Isla. She split with her boyfriend a year ago and now she really regrets it. As she peruses the sex shops (as you do) on the lookout for a sex toy she needs to purchase as a favour for a friend, Isla meets a strange woman. The woman in question runs a certain kind of boutique that specialises i...

Newest Release - Lament No Pain

So I've managed to publish something brand new in 2021. It's only a short story, but for me that's a massive accomplishment. I haven't been able to write much since Covid started. Every year of my writing life since hitting 40 has slowed right down. But a global pandemic was almost too much.

I started writing novel length fiction in 2009. It's funny how I've written shorter and shorter fiction since then. And lately I've been on a Coming of Age kick. Two of my CoA stories are set in the early 9...

Scar Tissue

I wrote a short story. It's the tale of my arm breakage when I was twelve years old, fictionalized into a 5000 word Coming of Age story.

This one's written more differently than any of my fiction. I wrote it in a way that a young man's voice speaks to the reader. And now I'm taking auditions for this title, it's fun to hear from a bunch of different narrators. I'll update this blog soon with more info on how the audiobook is coming along.

In the mean time Scar Tissue is available now as an ebook ...

Pen Name SB

I have created a new pen name. Considering the fact I create a new pen name almost weekly for the past decade, that’s a lot of pen names I never use. I just keep wanting to write differently, but after 10 years as my nickname and non-viable books sales, I get a little depressed.

However, this latest pen name has the initials SB and I’ll once again just get back to writing as a hobby. I just think it will free me to write anonymously without caring what haters say about me personally. This is jus...
