Recipe of the Day
Southwest Pork Stew
2 tbls. olive oil
2 onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, seeded and chopped
2 lbs. pork tenderloin, cubed
3 cups chicken broth
2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed2 cups stewed tomatoes
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tbl. lime juice
Saute onion and bell pepper in oil for 5 minutes. Add pork and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add potatoes and cook for 10-15 minutes more until potatoes are tender. Add tomatoes, chili power, cumin, lime juice and salt and pepper to taste. Serves 6. Enjoy!

A Roux of Revenge
The third book in the Soup Lover’s Mystery Series, A Roux of Revenge, will be released on April 1, 2014. I’m very excited that release day is coming soon, and thought I’d post a short teaser about this upcoming book.
A band of travelers has arrived in Snowflake, Vermont for the town’s Harvest Festival. One of them has been searching for years for his lost love. Another of his clan may have been murdered. Are these men connected to an old crime, as a retired investigator claims or are they victims themselves? Lucky Jamieson, the owner of the By the Spoonful Soup Shop, must do everything she can to follow the clues. If she doesn’t succeed, a young girl’s life will be in grave danger.
