June Kaye is the pen name of Brazilian friends and work colleagues Ilana K. and Alessandra K.

Ilana—a recovering lawyer—and Alessandra—a former Biology teacher—bonded over their love for literature and started as critique partners in completely different genres. A joke sparked the idea that eventually became 37 QUESTIONS, so they joined forces to write self-indulgent love stories and haven't looked back. Thus, June Kaye was brought to life. Due to their line of work, both lead a somewhat nomadic life, dragging husbands, kids, and pets from country to country across the world.
