This autumn’s Harvest Collection release is just around the corner, here’s a little sneak peek at what’s coming.

Homespun July issue with Natalie Bird

While we are experiencing the hottest days of the year in Norway, Homespun Australia have a lovely Christmas project on the cover of their July issue.

Among the projects inside is a beautiful and very summery quilt in Circus fabrics by the talented Natalie Bird. Homespun is always a must and feature great projects from talented designers and quilters around the world.

Circus Cushion

Helen Phillips has followed up her lovely Drawstring bag with an even more adorable red and blue Circus Pillow. We can certainly imagine a beautiful kid’s room in this red and blue Circus theme.

Serviettes and matching quilt

She Sews a Lot made a fresh spring table quilt and matching serviettes.

The idea started out with a few serviettes, but grew as Peta decided the serviettes needed a matching tablecloth.

Then she decided the tablecloth would look better quilted, and a simple idea became a large project for us all to enjoy.

This is a such a sweet idea perfect on a table outside a country cottage surrounded by wildflower and lanterns hanging from the trees.

 

Elephant and Giraffe

Two new Tilda Friends a giraffe and an elephant need new clothes and perhaps a Suitcase Circus.

Tilda Friends are perfect for those of you who think doll sewing is a bit daunting but love to make clothes and accessories. The dolls are approved for children in all ages.

Helen Philipps Patchwork Drawstring Bag

This lovely patchwork drawstring bag by Helen Philipps uses of vintage children room circus charm, just what we had in mind with the Circus series. The collection looks lovely combined with spots and stripes.

The Spin Quilt

Oh how we love this adorable Spin Quilt in Circus fabrics from Wife-made, such a creative spin on the Circus theme.

Book News!

This year is packed with Tilda book news all available for pre-order.

First up is Tilda’s Seasonal Ideas Collection witch will be released May 26th 2017
. This book contains Tilda’s Spring Ideas, Tilda’s Summer Ideas and Tilda’s Winter Ideas presented in one beautiful collector’s volume.

July the 28th we release a hardback cloth-bound Tilda Planner for 2018. 
Each week features an inspiring photograph alongside the calendar, plus a month-to-view calendar at the beginning of each month will help you to plan ahead.

Last but not least the brand new book Tilda Sewing By Heart will be released the September the 29th. 
This is a celebration of our love of fabric, packed full of patchwork, appliqué and quilting projects that will bring colour and patterns to your home. 
Projects include quilts, pretty pillows, soft toys, and accessories such as pincushions, pumpkins, flowers, stockings and more.

 

Tilda Club Project

Tilda Australia runs a Tilda Club where you get a lovely project made by one of Australia’s finest designers and quilters every two months. The  currant project is this lovely  Summer Rose iPad Pouch in blue Circus fabrics by Lauren @mollyandmama.

 

Gypsy Lane Quilt

This lovely Gypsy Lane Quilt is made by Aqua Paisley with Circus Fabrics.

The quilt is inspired by a branch of her family tree that is a bit of a mystery:  Gypsy Lane – The Story Behind the Quilt.

The back of the quilt is beautiful with random pieces of fabric.

We love how the green Circus fabric look on this quilt. The design required placing 8 elephant motives just right in a diagonal line in a pattern program, so that the last elephant pours coffee into the cup of the monkey sitting on the back of the first elephant. 
Really tricky to get right, but so much fun when it worked.
