Gabby’s Vintage Shirt Dress
We happened to stumble across the sweet colourful Gabby from the blog LivingOnAShoestring.net and just have to show you the vintage dress she made in Tilda fabric for WhiteTree fabrics. So cute!
The fabric is from last years Autumntree collection and you might still be able to get some, or you can always use other fabrics.
Be sure to visit her blog to get inspired, energized and happy!

Candy Bloom Blog Hop Quilt
UK City Crafter “Chris” finished quilting her Candy Bloom Blog Hop Quilt.
We think this quilt pattern works really well with the Candy Bloom fabrics, and love how Chris hand quilted with red thread.
If you’d like to make one for yourself then the pattern is a freebie from MacCall’s Quilting and can be found here.

Autumn preview – Tilda Friends!
We are very exited to share that two of the beloved Tilda characters – a fox and a rabbit will be available as lovely pre-sewn dolls this august!
Many of you are experts on sewing Tilda dolls and animals and Tilda will as always be about making your own personal dolls, but pre-sewn bodies are perfect for those who find doll sewing a bit daunting, or for young people learning to create and sew.
It’s so much fun making clothes and accessories!
Some of you might know that Tilda started as an idea of a children’s concept that emerged into a craft brand many years ago, and it’s a dream come true for us to be able to provide pre sewn Tilda dolls approved for children in all ages worldwide. Crafty friends that can inspire creativity.
It has been a long process getting the look right and the quality perfect, and we are very happy with the result.
Among the autumn news you will find sweet patterns for clothes, and we will share ideas and patterns on the blog on how you can personalize and make accessories.
We had so much fun creating a colorful world around these characters, and hope to continue with more pre sewn Tilda characters in the years to come to inspire creativity and playfulness.
We’ll see you in august!

Our talented friends in China
A few days ago we received lots of beautiful pictures showing what’s going on with Tilda in China, and we are so happy to hear it’s going very well!
We cannot resist showing you pictures from The Ququ Patchwork Studio in Jinan city in the Shandong province.
The studios owner Ququ makes these wonderful patchwork and appliqué bags and purses among other things, and organizes workshops.
You can check out her blog here and get inspired. We wish we where in Jinan city right now, this looks so inspiring!
We love how Ququ used Lecien fabric with soft nature prints in the background as a contrast to the Tilda fabrics. It takes a trained eye to think up this kind of combination.

Fabric paper and tape
A quick way of decorating and personalizing note books, boxes or anything else you might think of is using Adhesive fabric glue paper and tape. It’s lovely to give simple items a more luxurious fabric feel.
You can use fabric tape for letters or decorations and ribbon as matching bookmarks.
