5 Reasons To Go On A Girl's Weekend

It’s wonderful to spend time with your kids and your partner, but there is nothing that quite beats the feeling of going away with your girlfriends. Getting ready together, packing together, going to the airport or piling into the car? It’s all part of the fun and it’s an important way to bond with the girls that you love the most.

5 Ways to Keep Travel In Mind Right Now

I know people like me right now who aren't going anywhere except the necessary places. They are getting groceries delivered or do pick-up. I also know people who have gone on vacation during this pandemic, but I really just don't trust any of it right now. With as badly as some people are coping and staying home as much as possible, I can't trust that most people are doing the right thing, and that means traveling just isn't in the cards for us right now.

If you're also feeling lost without being...

My Favorite Fall Travel Packing Tips

The weather is turning and it's making me think about packing for fall travel. So if you're going on a fall/winter road trip or you're just looking ahead to when traveling is a thing again. Even when you have to pack larger pieces than for your summer trips, you can still pack light. I'm a big proponent of layering when I travel, since you never know if the weather will be unseasonably warm or colder than you expect. Don't fret though, because you can still pack light and bring everything you ne...

Our Halloween & Day of the Dead Celebration

This year has been unconventional, to say the least, so we didn't dress up and go around with our friend's kids for trick-or-treating, or threw a party, or even handed out candy. Instead, we watched a live stream of Rocky Horror Picture Show benefiting the Wisconsin Democrat efforts and had take-out. Here's how we, officially, celebrated Halloween.

I've been wanting to do something around the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration, called Dia de los Muertos. We didn't do traditional foods, but inste...

Enjoying Florida Like a Pro

Sometimes, the best vacations can be somewhere in between an exotic getaway and a cozy staycation - like visiting a different state, for example! Domestic holidays are a cost-effective way to change your environment and have an adventure, and one of the most popular destinations in the entire US is Florida. It’s no surprise - ‘the sunshine state’ has it all, from beautiful scenery to beaches, to nightlife and shopping, and all with a healthy dose of sun and heat. But if you have limited time, th...

The chances are that things might still be a little different the next time you get to travel abroad. The last thing you will want from any vacation is added stress, so here are a few things to consider as you begin to dream about your next big adventure.

Airport Transport

Airports can be exasperating with all the queues and protocols you have to go through. Once you finally pick up your luggage, the last thing you want is to be struggling with local transport systems. Consider bookin...

Exploring Pyramids Around the World + 10 Travel Tips

A few weeks ago, we took a staycation to Egypt to explore the pyramids and take a Nile river cruise. It lit a fire in me to really plan a trip to Cairo and surrounding areas, because it has been on my trip wish list for a long time, but seeing how truly unique and beautiful it is really pulled me in. Egypt isn't the only place with pyramids, but it is the most known. Check out all the other places with pyramids and then learn some tips on traveling within Egypt.

If you plan to visit Egypt, here ...

Exploring Egypt from Home

Hey, hey! I'm back with another Destination Date Night. This time we visited the pyramids in Egypt. If you can't travel, you might as well make the best of it. We had a great "view" of the Great Pyramid and the Sphynx.

Things are super stressful right now, so any break from reality is nice. We've been doing little things, like going to corn mazes, taking virtual tours, and walking our neighborhood to look at Halloween decorations. There are still things to enjoy and be safe. I have a handful of f...

It's Time to Vote!

I was going to do a regular post today, but instead, I'd like to take this time to tell you two things. First off, I have a new Twitter account and have been slowly changing it places, but if you haven't seen my Facebook posts, my new Twitter handle is @ShereenTravels. Unfortunately, my account was compromised and could not be recovered. It's unfortunate, but what are you gonna do.

My second thing is that I want you to go out and VOTE. This is one of the most important elections in our lifetime, ...

How to Plan + Budget for Big Trips

How many years have we been trapped inside now? 23? I mean, I know it's only been 8 months, but it feels so. much. longer. If you're dying for some travel, well, I wouldn't recommend it. Most office buildings are talking about extending their WFH dates through June or July now. Buuuuuuuut, that doesn't mean you have to sit at home do nothing but watch all the streaming services you now subscribe to. You can do staycation or destination dates like we do, and you can totally start planning and bud...
