Tips On Visiting Bangkok
We've been talking a lot about Thailand. Bangkok in particular because it's so different from where we live and places we've been. We took some virtual tours and saw things we hadn't previously known about the city, and it really made us what to visit. I went looking to some other great travel blogs for tips from those who've been there, some more than once.

I appreciate people who are honest, and Nomadic Matt is one of the most honest bloggers out there. His post...

Your Quick Essential Guide to Thailand
We did a quick fun New Year's Eve Destination Date to Bangkok last week and it really got me thinking about planning a trip there. It's a great destination for budget travelers and it's very beautiful. It has something for you whether you enjoy doing outdoorsy stuff or more city exploration like I do. The markets look amazing, and you know how into a market I am, especially if I can eat my way through it. Here's a infographic for you if you're interested in planning a trip to Bangkok or other pa...

New Year's Eve Thailand Staycation
Happy 2021, y'all! I'm not saying it'll be much different than 2020, but you gotta have hope, otherwise, what's the point? While we don't know if we'll be able to actually travel this year, we do know that we can continue to staycation like nobody's business, so we finished off the year with a Destination Date, giving big donations to organizations that will help those struggling in our community, eating fancy cheese, and Zooming with friends.

This Destination Date was a lunch date in Thailand, ...

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you and yours. Here's hoping that 2021 sees more good times than bad. I'm taking a bit of time for myself to enjoy these first few days with friends (via Zoom) and family. So, from me to you, I hope you are having a great week and are also glad to leave 2020 in the rearview.

2021 Resolution Time
Remember last year when my resolution was to travel more? Hahahahaha! I either really missed the mark on that or went above and beyond due to going everywhere on our Destination Date Nights. I managed one real trip (mostly for work), but a dozen destination staycations. We are going to continue to do that this coming year, and we'll be finishing out this year with a trip to Thailand and a Zoom NYE party.

So, what sort of resolutions can we make when it com...

Let's Talk About the Holidays
Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope you're having a good one. We had a quiet socially-distanced family get together on Thursday. We exchanged gifts, sat outside, and wore masks. And yesterday we put up a Christmas backdrop, had my mom over for our traditional dinner and played some games. This is not the year for us to have a big party.

This year we've been able to see people one-on-one in front of houses or in backyards. We've exchanged gifts by mailing them or dropping them at people's door...

Going Back to Hogwarts
December is always a very busy month for us, with my birthday, and parties, and Christmas brunch and Yule Ball. This year has been different, but no less busy. In fact, we even still had our White Elephant brunch (via Zoom) and attended Yule Ball (virtually) for charity. We went back to Hogwarts...with friends...from home.

If you've missed my previous Yule Ball posts, check out 2019's pictures, 2018's, and 2017's. This is always a great event that raises a large amount of money for charity. This ...
