Skiing in Soldeu: The Grandvalira Ski Area

The sheer quantity of groomed runs of off-piste trails that are accessible from the Andorran ski resorts is rather daunting, particularly when you consider the Grandvalira ski area which offers over 205km of pisted runs. It doesn’t matter what you wish to achieve from your ski holiday – whether you want to show off your moves in the El Tartar terrain park or you need to master the snow plough on the nursery slopes, Soldeu is one of the most popular bases.

While the Grandvalira ski...

The Secret Life of a Mobster

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a Travelon Anti-theft Signature Slim Pouch. It ends tomorrow!

So, I didn’t just go to Vegas
and gamble all my money away. In fact, we did very little gambling in the three
days we were there, even though it was 120 degrees – not an exaggeration – and we
spent 90% of the time inside. One of the things I really wanted to do while in
Sin City was eat delicious food (check), do free stuff (check) and visit the
Mob Museum. I’ve been telling people about...

How to Book Last-Minute Cruises

If you're hoping to cut the cost of cruising this year, why
not look for last minute cruises? It's a great way to
enjoy a fantastic holiday without breaking the bank and, with the money you
save, you could use it as spending money once you arrive. Just think of all
those day trips and ice creams you could enjoy!

Firstly,
let's look at how to book last-minute cruises. As the name suggests, this style
of holiday deal is based on booking and travelling within a short time frame.
Usually...

Infographic: How Families Plan Their Vacations

The Travelon giveaway is still open to win your very own anti-theft Signature Slim Pouch. Enter now!

Earlier this week I asked via Facebook and Twitter what your must-haves for an accommodation were and if, like me, it depended on the destination. Generally, I'm happy with free internet, as long as wherever I'm staying is affordable, but when I'm going on a bigger trip, I like to have more included. For my trip to London and Europe - which I officially have all my accommodations and ai...

Pack This: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a Travelon Anti-theft Signature Slim Pouch.

I am addicted to lip balm, and not just any lip balm. I happen to only carry around Alba Botanicals lip balm made with soy instead of beeswax. Inconveniently, I can only find it at natural stores around here. I have lip balm everywhere. In my purse, in my toiletry bag, in my office drawer, in my medicine cabinet. It is hard for me to branch out and find a lip color that I can stand up to my need to moisturi...

Review & Giveaway: Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Slim Pouch

Whenever I go on a trip, I try to bring a bag that will suit my purposes. Each vacation seems to have different needs and my weekend trip to Las Vegas was no different. Mostly, we would be walking from the car to our activity, but even if I would be walking down The Strip, which ended up happening, I needed something lightweight and secure. I found that in Travelon's new Anti-Theft Signature Slim Pouch.

The Signature Slim Pouch is a perfect accessory for a trip where you don't n...

Infographic: Who Packs Better - Men or Women?

I'm always fascinated by the differences in packing strategies by different people. One of the biggest packing differences are between men and women. I travel enough to have stopped trying to take half my closet and 22 pairs of shoes. I have realized I don't need that much variety, especially since I rarely would use that much I brought. Even packing just about the bare minimum now, I find I don't wear all of it. If you look at your patterns, you may find you're the same, or you're a g...

The Awesomeness of Vacation Rentals

I love a good vacation rental. They offer so much more than a hotel ever could, all with one rate. This past weekend we spent in Vegas. It was just our luck that they had the hottest temps in 100 years, but you can never know what's going to happen when you plan your trips ahead of time. At least we flew back home before they cancelled many flights out of the airport due to the heat wave. If we found it too hot to go out, we could easily have holed up in our rental. It had everything we nee...

Review: Dream Water Sleep Aid

I love to travel. That's no secret. Even though I can pretty much sleep at any time and almost anywhere, there are times when I have issues sleeping. Oddly enough, I can sleep for hours all scrunched up on a plane in coach, but once I get to my destination, the first night is always a restless one for me. It takes me forever to fall asleep, then I toss and turn all night and I wake up insanely early and can't doze anymore after that. I guess it's just the change of scenery, since I can swap...

SkyRoll’s New Spinner Bag

With the billion things people
use Kickstarter for, it’s nice when you find an actual useful item that you
want to back. You may remember my review of the original SkyRoll
garment bag
. That bag is super convenient and fits a lot in a little space,
but not everyone can carry a bag on their shoulder – or wants to – and spinner
wheels are so much more convenient than the in-line skate wheels, because they
are more sturdy and your bag won’t flop around if you hit a rock or whatever.
