Good Morning World

Good Morning all

I hope you all well this morning, It’s a lovely sunny day today here in Blairgowrie sadly still a bit on the cold side, so I can’t rush off and get my sun dress out yet .

It’s only just gone 9am and I’ve been up for my family’s furry lot of cats (Amber and Honey) and my own crazy dog Chase ( who I’m currently watching run about the back garden trying to kill a black plastic pot ) since before 7am , by 830am I was already up and already tracking down my dad’s power tools to fix a minor problem before today’s lot of workmen came around to my folks home ( carpet layers are the ones I’m looking out for today) . So there’s a lot of active and noise going on around me today as I’m typing .

Right down to business news on things I should catch you all up on

Starting from the 7th of this month (September) I’m kicking off my first ever blog hop which will run until the 31st of October for Magick Weaved on a Samhain Eve, so I have lots of events, interviews and even a giveaway for your all to get involved in .

One Big event that is coming on very soon is my first big live interview on Facebook as Shah Fazli put the spotlight on me and Magick Weaved

So if you ever had any questions you want to ask me now is your chance as I’m will taken questions direct for you guys at this event as well .

Would love to see you there

http://www.facebook.com/events/237804736366881/

I’m also working this month on a self made deadline to finish up and finish edits on my long time coming full length novel The Pack ( so if you love your witches, werewolf’s, magick, gangsters , dark secrets , untamed powers and magick’s and a bunch of friends throw into a totally new life – then you may what to keep your eyes open for this book)

Also in October I will be taking part in the Ultimate Blog Challenge

so I will be posting a short blog on here everyday of October

In other news, I’m still trying to find the home for me and my dog in this lovely surrounding area – I’m really keen to get settled again and get a lot of my stuff out of boxes again , sadly for the house hunting has come to a standstill atm as their seems to be nothing just right out there for me .

On another note and totally away from the writing side of my life – I also helping out with fundraising (normally via my second job as a Body shop at home party planner) for a cause that is very close to me , since it is got my cousin’s young son called Adam who has cerebral palsy – which is his case mainly affects his legs , his family is trying to raise the funds to send him over USA to have a operation that they can’t do over here in the UK that could totally change his life for him and allow him to run , jump climb trees like a normal boy his age can do everyday.

If you have a moment then please check out his site for more info on his story, cerebral palsy, the operation they are hoping to have and where . If you able to donate even a small amount of £5 that would be amazing as it all adds up over time and brings Adam one step closer to his goal.

you can also check out his Facebook page too

Ok I think that is all my news and latest happenings share with you all again , so I’m away to sign off from here and go hoover up the mess the carpet guys have left behind them – oh the joys of house sitting lol

Wishing you all a great day and a great week

love and light to you all

The lost month of May

Good afternoon everyone

Firstly , I hope everyone is having a great weekend

Secondly , I’m sorry there was no blog posted last month , but as my title hints at the month of may was just about totally lost to me .

So if your connected to any of my other pages on Facebook, twitter, googleplus ,goodreads, book groups on Facebook etc you will have noticed that I not been making the normal rounds or posting the same amount of posts or tweets as normal for me.

What happened to me ? oh where to start … well if you have read my most recent blog post here , you will see I’ve been talking about looking for a new place to live . I put my flat on the market up in Aberdeen on the market 3 weeks ago and it sold very quickly in under 2 and half weeks but 4 days after it was put on the market my father suddenly took ill and was rushed into hospital down in Perth which is about a hour and half drive from Aberdeen.

You know the expression ” everything will happen at once ” well it sure did . Make no mistake about that .  2 days after my dad was taken in to hospital they decided after many tests that they would need to remove his gall bladder – well what should have been a simple op and only have taken a little over an hour , lasted nearly 5 hours and my dad landing in HDU for the night , to make matters worse  my mum had workmen coming in to set about building up her new kitchen for her – so she was extra stressed from that as well.  So needless the next day it was a case of me and the pup jumping in my car at 730 am and motoring down the road to go help my mum out as well as get the latest on my dad plus visit him.  That start what was to become a pattern for the rest of the month for me , traveling back and forth between Aberdeen and Blairgowrie then onto Perth for visiting times. I only travelled back up to Aberdeen for viewing on my flat and later on meetings over paperwork etc as well as packing up my life of the last 30 years in boxes as my friends would say .

It’s a well known fact among my friends that no one will push me more or be as hard on myself as I’m . I tend to go into superwoman mode and demined to let no one down ( including myself) and to help everyone that needed it . Oh course it goes without saying am no superwoman am just human so all this pushing and rushing about after 2 and half weeks cause me to burnout by exhaustion so ended up been on forced bed rest for 2 days till I fit to help out again.

Once my flat become under offer and my dad got his first weekend home pass , the days stopped bleeding into each other and things became more humanly manageable again.

Then I had to set up cancelling internet at my old place etc , while refocusing on packing up boxes again .

My dad is now is home and is recovering well – so that’s given me a great peace of mind again .

The kitchen is just about complete .

I moved the first lot of my things into my folks home where I will be staying till my new place is fully done and sorted out in 4- 5 months time , in some ways I think that divine timing as I’m happier being close by to help them out just now .  I still have a lot of traveling back and forward to do till the end of this month but life is slowly returning to a more normal pace for us all.

This month I’m filling in two lot of questions for some interviews I’m doing , one for the lovely Alexia POV and the second is about myself , magick weaved and my works in process atm . I will be sharing both on here once they come out .

I’m going to try and to a mini post mid month this month with all my latest links where you can find me at and follow me or even just talk to me.

I will take this chance to sign off and wish you all a great weekend

sending you all love and light as well as angels to watch over you all

until next time , thank you for stopping by and happy reading

Dogs, Books and Homes

Good Morning everyone .

I’m out in the countryside at the moment and loving it. I love this area of Perthshire and while I’m down here ,my dog Chase has access to a wonderful safe garden and I can watch him on the cctv while reading , fixing a meal , looking at my angel cards for the day ahead or writing up my next blog say ;) all from the kitchen .  I lost out of the lovely little cosy cottage I spoke about in my last blog on here , but as all my friends remind me ” what is meant for you will never pass you by ”  so I take heart from that and keep on-going with my search for a house in this lovely area .

As I’m writing up this post my dog has just come in from outside to start chewing at my socks , which is his way of letting me know he wants me to go outside with him to play with him .he’s got no chance right now as the dark clouds in the sky tell me rain is not far away , so best let him enjoy all the garden and big fields walks  that I take him on ,while he can ;)

I’ve been working on a lot of different way you can all connect with me all and have an amazon author page in the works too. I’m useless at setting up websites and writing up bio’s for myself – am great at doing it for others but myself – nope , it never just flows or comes easy to me , unlike if I’m working on a new story and it all just flows together . Then my problem is trying to type as fast as I thinking .

My partner asked me not so long ago if I was going to add him to one of my books one day – most likely I will do someday as it’s pretty hard not to write about aspects of character that you know from real life and inject them into the fantasy world , but honestly I never set out a plan to do so in any of my work.  I normally have one character in my mind that is jumping up and down waving their hands at me begging for my attention and time , so they can get their story out there.  all the rest just seem to wonder in and stop by while waiting for their time to speak and add their two pence worth to the plot .

Mostly during my time I’ve been down here this time around , if I’ve not been out and about doing house viewings and wait in for delivery men to drop off my mother new washing machine and install it . Then I’ve been catching up on some of my own reading as I have a pile of books with me wherever I go . No joke , even as a young girl I remember buying a book bag with a long strap that looked not unlike a fabric handbag while I was in the states one time and that thing could hold up to 8 children’s book at a time – back then I was reading things like Wishbone and Little Sister babysitter club books so they were quite thin books.  I think it would have held about 2 adult size hardback books and maybe three paperbacks .

I’m currently jumping between three books at the moment that I’m enjoying . I always have about 3 books on the go with me , one in my handbag – maybe it on my iPhone or kindle but there always something to read in my bag , one next to my bed and one that will move about with me from places to place during the course of the day .

Right now those books are

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks – not seen the film that long ago and had to go out and get the book the next day , normally I tend to read the book then see the film but it turned out to be the other way around this time . Loving both – I’m more a purest that often I think the books in better then the movie but either the book or the movie equally good in their own rights.

Angel therapy  by Doreen virtue – I love her work and have most of her books . This one as been a real oh that makes sense now kinda of books for me .

The third is one I just download onto my kindle two days ago – it’s done by one of my lit sister’s Khelsey Jackson and her wonderful book Kallos, I’ve only managed to get a few pages in so far but loving it .

Right the weather is changing and sky is getting darker . Time to call that crazy dog of mine in and just looking at the cttv I noticed he dragged one of my dad’s shoes out onto the lawn to chew on – errr better go and sort that out double quick ( well at least he didn’t try to bury it this time around so for my dog that is progress)

Wishing you all a lovely weekend

March 14, 2013

One of those times

Right now in my life , am having one of those points in my life after many months ( ok more like years) of things going a snail pace . That everything is all of a sudden slipping into place at the right moment and time.  Both on a personal and professional fronts in my life , in the last few days have been moving a fast pace . I was down visiting my family in Perthshire and a sweet wee cottage I had noticed on the market a wee back but had missed out on , had just came back onto the market . Since this place is in a very quiet area of Perthshire it just screams to be made into a writer’s heaven and has wonderful wee enclosed garden for my visual challenged puppy to burn off some of his crazy hyperness ( if you think of a 3 year old child on a non stop sugar high – you will get some idea of the level of craziness of this lovable puppy) so I hope things work out well with it this time around . So I will have to put my faith in the angels to lead me to the best outcome for me .

Also today I got the first lot swag sorted out for Magick Weaved on a Samhain Eve as well – it all looks amazing so I can’t wait to share some photos of it all with you when it arrives .

I hope your all have a great day today

Love and Light until next time

Update Feb 28 2013

Hi all, well I’ve been awol from cyber land for a fair bit the last two months . I’ve been traveling a lot down to Perthshire to visit family and honestly I really enjoy the area down that way . I find it very relaxing, I often feel I get some of my best ideas while I’m out and about with my dog Chase in the countryside . So if I’m not been on the road traveling from A to B then I’m been fighting with technology to put it mildly . For most of January I was without internet and then at the start of  Feb. my pc ( which has been acting up for the last 6 months) decided to start crashing on a weekly basis and started to go at slower then a snail pace over the smallest of task’s – the finally straw that broke the caramel’s back was when the keyboard started to have a freak out of itself very own a few days later . So I was one very happy writer when I was gifted a new shiny laptop by my folks to me for my 30th birthday a few weeks back . Finally the slow task of moving all my files and links over to my new toy is just about done- Yay !   Right now I’m playing catch up on all my promoting , linkage and update my author pages of different sites , so I will be posting a few links in the next few weeks and keeping you all update to with latest news .

I’m getting myself back into writer mode again , as I trying to finish up my debut Novel The Pack and the Follow up to Magick Weaved on a Samhain Eve – The Turn of the Wheel as I would like to get them both done and out to your all for the end of the year or that is my goal at the moment.  I’m also working on a few on ice’s I have forgotten about to be honest and dusting them off to bring them back into the daylight, so I really add some spice and darkness to them in the next few months – but their all still at the baby stages of the process – so I’m not setting myself a timeline for them as yet.

It’s getting late here tonight – so am going to call it a night

wishing you all many bright blessings until next time folks

V J
