Farmerville New Release

Dear Friends & Fans,

Welcome to the Relaunch ofmy Blog/Newsletter and thank you for subscribing and staying with me.

The big news for the end of June is Episode 8 "Twisted Irony” was just released, and you can grab the eBook Free today and tomorrow (June 26 & 27). TheAudiobook will be available in a few weeks.

Hopefully you’ve kept up on the first 7  Episodes

Episode 8 of the ten-part series has, as the title suggests, some surprising Twists and Tragedies. A lot has happened during the two-monthtimeline of the series since Ron Farmer had a surprising encounter with escapedconvicts, a family of four and an axe or two. That encounter was the genesisfor everything to come – wait there’s more. There might be a secret army, aghost, even a pig farm, and the books and Audiobooks tell a story that havebeen said to be  “…a unique blend of absurdity and suspense,”  and "Humorously macabre."

All Audiobooks are available on Amazon andat most Audiobook retailers.

If you like Podcasts, the Farmervilleseries is being featured on the Chilling Tales for DarkNights YouTube Channel, hosted by Paul J. McSorley. The first episode was airedon Wednesday June 5thand the next episode will air on Wednesday July 10th.

I’m planning on releasing the final twoEpisodes in the next few months.

Thank you and wishing you the best.

Catching Up

 Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Relaunch ofthe Blog/Newsletter. Thank you for staying with me and if you are new, thank you for Joiningthe email list.

I’ll admit to my tardiness with the blog andhave a lot of catching up to do. Here’s a brief review.

My current project has been the FarmervilleSeries that I started in September last year and is a blend of Mystery,Thriller, Suspense, and Psychological elements in what one reviewer has stated

“…a unique blend of absurdity and suspense.”

Another reviewer said “FarmvilleUnpredictably Chaotic!”  The first seven episodes have been releasedand the final three episodes will be available in the upcoming months totalingten episodes.

I’ve also dabbled into the world ofAudiobooks and have the entire series in Audiobooks, brilliantly narratedby PaulJ. McSorley. If you have not yet started the series, email me and I’ll sendyou the first eBook episode, and if you are into audiobooks, let me know theaudio platform you use and I’ll send you the first audiobook.

For those of you who already know me, youknow that I am one of those over-the-top grandparents, so much over the topthat I have a Children’s book series I started in 2020 about my times with thegrandkids called “Adventures withPop Pop.” We currently have four books and are working on the next one.

As if I didn't have enough to do, I alsohave my first book from 2012, a historical fiction, “Forgotten Soldiers: What Happenedto Jacob Walden” and just published my leadership dissertation, “LEADERSHIP: Outdated Theories andEmerging Non-Traditional Leadership.”  Both of these books are also available in audiobook, and if like to listen to a British Accent, both of these were wonderfullynarrated by award winning narrator GrahamMack.

Wait, there's more! Many of you know I hada stroke two years ago and that experience encouraged me to work on anotherproject about the stroke experience and rehabilitation. Anticipate completing thisby end of this year.

There you have it, a short review and hopeyou stay with me, and I will keep you up to date on my projects and other Writersyou may have interest in.

Kickstarter for Adventures with Pop Pop

We've Launched Our Kickstarter CampaignGo To The Kickstarter For Details

Everyone needs a Pop Pop.  The main purpose of this Kickstarter campaign is to raise enough funding to order the initial inventory of Pop Pop dolls and to donate dolls to St. Jude’s Children Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Watch Our Kickstarter Video

I've been blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved with my grandsons, who I’ve dubbed “the Grandmen.” Seven years ago, Grandman Dean entered our world, and four years later, Grandman Levi came along. About a year ago someone said “You must have a lot of great stories about your Grandmen,” and with that, the idea was conceived, and with the Grandmen’s parents’ approval, “Adventures with Pop Pop” was hatched.

What Makes This Different?

Real Life Appeal: I really am that guy pushing a shopping cart backwards in a store and getting the occasional look of disapproval—the first book and subsequent books are real stories about real activities we've done. Generally, all children’s books have a mission, message, and some kind of a focus, and we have that too; however, the added element is the “real life” appeal. The upcoming series of books focuses on the real-life daily interactions of Pop Pop with the Grandmen.

Being Present, Spending Quality Time, Creating Memories, and just having some Fun are the
underlying themes of the series. We will be incorporating educational themes focused on behavior, good choices, empathy, and basic skills, while fostering positive family and social interactions.

Children's Books During COVID-19

 "Time To Develop More Material"

Marketing and selling books, including Children’s Books, during the COVID social distancing period has been difficult, and from comments I’ve heard from Authors the consensus is that they agree. While the ability to sell books may be stifled, there has also been opportunity to develop material for future books. In our case COVID-19 evolved into practicing social distancing, and by our case, I’m talking about myself and the Grandmen. Grandmen is what I call my two grandsons, and is also the base for the “Adventures with Pop Pop” children’s book series I recently started. The first book was “Grandman DeanGoes Big Shopping” and there is also a companion Coloring Book that goes with it.

During COVID I would take the Grandmen on Adventures to various county and state parks, away from everyone, and take them on walks. This experience accomplished several things, one of course was Social Distancing, while also providing the boys outdoor activities searching for Dinosaurs, Fossils, and whatever we could find.  The end result relating to books is the adventures provided material for future books.

In the meantime, our second book in nearing completion and is about Grandman Dean’s Preschool Adventures, and this is where Little Brother Grandman Levi will be introduced.

We invite you to follow us on our social media sites and share with you friends and family.
