Gym Class in the Near Future

In the near future, gym class is held in VR virtual pods. How lucky are they?

what is the game? JUMP-KICK!

The object of Jump-kick—kicking one of the dozens of balls into a large ring at the end of the field to rack up points for your team—was many times harder than it sounded. First, the field—unlike a typical flat soccer pitch—was a box, and full of rainbow-colored, foamy obstacles. Gravity was light like on Mars. Small jumps allowed the player to soar. The cool thing about this game was that each side of the field had a gravitational pull. Jump high enough, you wouldn’t fall back down but up. The sim flipped the player automatically, landing you on your feet. Same with the sides.

The pods simulated the virtual environment with walking tracks, fans, shocks and tension bars, all the while keeping your body centered but accommodating every motion. Running around and jumping was serious exercise.

Little Project Big Mess

I started working on a little project but it is anything but little. It’s a fantastic project for a gaming company out of Phoenix. They produce board games and other fantasy card games and it looks like their stuff is worth checking out. Their website is https://www.gamelyngames.com/. 

I say little but it’s not little at all it’s huge. It’s going to be an 8 foot tall sculpture of one of their fantasy characters. A night in shining armor with a sword almost as big as he is. Check out the progress.

Getting On the Bus Sucks | Dark Swarm Illustration Excerpt

Squeaking brakes heralded the bus’s arrival.
