Fall 2013 Updates

Fall has fast approached, hasn't it? I swear it was just 90 degrees and humid outside, now here in middle Nebraska, we've already seen our first freeze. Crap! This isn't much of an update post, since for the last two months I've been dealing with a multitude of real life issues that call for my attention.
But I have been hard at work with different projects.

Website rebuilding: I am actively redesigning a new website where you can get information about my books, and anything coming soon. Kind o...

Hot in Fall Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Hot in Fall Blog Hop, running from Oct 1 to Oct 7th!
So what is "Hot in Fall"? The question came to me when I signed up for the blog hop. And since I feel like being totally random, I wanted to ask "what is hot in fall"? It's autumn, time to pack up those summer clothes and dig out your sweaters, jeans, and coats. That's not hot at all. It's cold, if anything. But it's also a time of change. The leaves will start to turn, and cover the ground with beautiful shades of yellows and...

Not an Editing Tip: Two Free Programs to Speed Things Up!

Let me make a quick note that this is not an editing tip. I'm not an editor, and Lord knows I don't specifically enjoy the editing process. But I'm not going to write a first draft and immediately throw it out to the wolves before editing the damn thing. So I was looking for ways to speed up that daunting task, and I found some free programs that can do that!

The task of taking out crutch and empty words can seem like a long journey, when all you want to do is send the story off. MS word (and...

#wednesdaysoundtrack Inspiration of Love

I haven't done a Wednesday Soundtrack post in a long time. And well, I figure it's time because I have been reintroduced to a couple of 90's love songs that I used to avoid like the plague. haha!

These aren't necessarily inspiring any story at the moment, their just for anything I'm working on right now. (A new ms that's not on my to-do list, oops)

The first song: who remembers this from The Three Musketeers? :) And when Rod Stewart sings, oh yeah. Bring back some memories right there... okay,...

#teaserTuesday Night Shift

Tuesday is here. That means it's time for #teaserTuesday!

It's a freaking hot day outside. Around 100 degrees here in the great state of Nebraska. So let's cool down a little with a story that takes place in a massive winter storm. Or maybe this will get you a little hotter?
This #teasertuesday snippit comes from the upcoming release titled Night Shift.

Working graveyard shift during one of the worst winter storms in history could be lots of fun!

The "Proposed" New Warning System in M/M Romance - WTF??

Warnings: Contains dub-con, excessive violence, andan explicit on-page m/f oral scene

What would you think if you ran into a warning like this? Is it really necessary to categorize a m/f oral sex scene the same as dub-con or excessive violence? Is m/f really a trigger like say: tentacle rape or mentions of physical abuse?

For those following the current kerfuffle in the M/M romance world, you know where the frustration and anger lies. Author's apparently are being very disrespectful to their rea...
