Calling it like it is!

In all the years of working within the Paranormal Field and Spiritual Realm, the encounters have been many, as I've visited places not only within North America, but that of Europe as well. I've had the fortunate side of things come to fruition working with many integral individuals within both fields of work and thus while doing so, have not only learned much, but taught much as well. Decades of sophistication one might say, yet it’s just something one lives in the life of a day, as they continue to do this type of work.

Enter the mainstream media and the roles it plays, for there was a time things of this nature were so unheard of, or they were shunned by society as a whole. We still see this, as ignorance is bliss one might say, though in the hindsight of those who are so subsided in not wanting to know, they creep out of their closet once in a while, plug in a horror movie, a paranormal movie, something Sci-Fi in any respect and then crawl back into the closet to yet deny any interception of their own daily living, putting up those blinders, to which they walk blindly along.

Forging ahead, regardless of what some might call as Satanic, Evil doings. Yet, those who speak so loudly, are actually Hypocrites in plain sight. There's always going to be the little notion of wanting to know, wanting to see, wanting to encounter something, anything, just to validate one’s own curiosity, or validate what they've been going through in life, but they ignore it as “coincidence!” Oh take heed people, the end is not near, there's no fire depths of hell that'll consume you, nor is there any fifty lashes to be had because you seek only what's right and that of the daily living of every single human being on this planet.

Living Paranormal, is just as it says, LIVING PARANORMAL! Things of the unexplained one might encounter that either need explaining, or they have their own personal context to it. EVERYONE has some form of communication, encounter, or “coincidental” happening. Let’s face it, there is going to be those who oppose what I'm saying today, but you know what. WHO CARES! To each his or her own, and that's a good way to put it, for I personally, and I know you who are reading this don’t condemn them who speak out so loudly, we just look at what's being presented and let the facts fall where they may. Again, let’s face it, when this is all said and done, the day of reckoning comes calling, even those who are so opposed to LIVING PARANORMAL, will then have their own encounter and that my friends is the end of this story. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

Critic Reviews

"Here comes Part 2 where J.C. and his team is at it again. Beer's flowing on the floor and hearts are pounding. Who wouldn't have a pounding heart after listening to an EVP that said you are going to die. I said the first book in this series was a real page turner. Well, this book goes beyond that description. Be careful your eyes don't go into warp drive to see what happens at the hotel to J.C. and his team. Can you wait to find out if the hotel investigated is a part of the "you can check in but you can't check out hotel chain?"
-Martha Decker, Award Winning Jouralist/Author/Paranormal Researcher

"Parasylum II is here and it's holy heck scary! EVP death threats, malevolent spirits, and heart-pounding sequences are so intense you will be jumping at shadows. The twenty's have passed but the gangsters never left and they're hell bent on taking out as many victims as they can. Run while you can or you're next! Hold on people it's going to be a terror ride!"
-Jodi Hanson, Journalist/Review Critic for Suspense Magazine & Chapters and Chats

Haunted Book Case Finds 'Parasylum'... Insane!

Every paranormal team has that ‘dream’ location. Every paranormal team has their ‘baby’, the one place that they managed to conquer permission to traipse around and investigate the claims of paranormal activity. The team in this book, “Parasylum” by Robbie Thomas, has done just that; Grandview Mental Asylum.

This book is fantastic! It’s an eerie, bumpy ride through the eyes of different team members. This is a must read book for anyone interested in paranormal investigations, ghost hunts, and haunted locations. Grandview is much like any other mental asylum that has been abandoned. The stories the walls hold are more than just mistreatment of patients, they hold something more sinister.

Parasylum begins with a premonition and ends with a supernatural reality. We are taken on a bizarre trip with the team, starting from the moment they leave their house. We are introduced to the interpersonal relationships between various team members, and it very much echoes real life paranormal teams; tension, humor, but above all, camaraderie.

Roadside carnivals.
Spooky Fortune Teller.
Weird, creepy “people” with a warning for the team.

This book is Ghost Hunters meets Death Tunnel.

There were quite a few moments in this book where I could not turn the virtual page fast enough, where I chewed off all the nails on my left hand (why just the left? :: shrug ::) This has the great makings of a movie, one that I definitely would watch, and review too.

This book, this gem of a book, is part one. The author, Robbie Thomas, has made it into a trilogy. Book II, “Parasylum II: The Unleashed“, which was released earlier this year and Book III to be announced 2014. I know I will be reading the other two in the trilogy. Great author, GREAT STORY, and even better story topic! I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Suspense Magazine Critic Review From Jodi Hanson

Parasylum II The Unleashed by Robbie Thomas
Parasylum II The Unleashed

Jodi rated it 5 of 5 stars

Parasylum is back and it’s scarier than ever! Robbie Thomas has once again proven he is a master at writing horror. The fear is palatable and without a doubt will have your heart pounding and you at the edge of your seat.

After the surprise ending in the first Parasylum installment you would think a whole new cast of characters would be on this investigation. But you would be wrong. The team of five is back in full force on what could be the one to go down in their records as the investigation that almost ended their lives.

From the moment the team sets foot in the Rendezvous Hotel they are confronted with threats by the ghosts of mobsters from the 1920s looking to add more victims to their stockpile. With each floor they investigate the walls seem to come alive with demons and monsters, and situations that will have the team questioning their sanity.

Throw in a rogue team of investigators and the haunting ramps up to an even horrific level, causing them all to start running for their lives in search of escape from the Rendezvous Hotel.

Any horror aficionado will crawl inside this book wanting to take part in the terrifying action. Thomas, a psychic and avid paranormal investigator, knows the terror of an active investigation. As a result he is able to transfer the fear into words that most definitely rival Steven King, the reigning master of horror.

The devil is in the details and Thomas has done his homework. He brings all the elements of investigation to his readers in the form of equipment and terminology. He continued development of his characters that enables readers to make a connection, which inevitably draws them further into the story.

Bottom line; if you are looking for a horror story that will have you turning on all the lights, checking under the furniture and making sure the doors are all locked, this is the book for you. Pull up your big boy panties and be prepared for the scare of your lives. This one is a killer.
