A Man And A Woman was a difficult book to write. Connor, aka Muhamed from The Lady's Tutor, is what Publisher's Weekly describes as "probably the first 53-year-old eunuch to be a romantic hero." But oh, his story was worth it! I remember typing the final words when suddenly Sting's hauntingly beautiful song "Desert Rose" played on the radio. I spent months trying to put into words what Sting put to music. I hope I succeeded!
