Dear Readers, Teachers, Librarians, Family, and Friends,
Thank you for another great year, in which I've been able to fulfill my dream of writing for children. Your support this year has propelled me toward some milestones, that I'd like to share with you:
* My latest middle-grade novel, Saving Halloween, won a 2012 Kay Snow Writing Award for Young Readers and also became an Amazon bestseller in October, hitting #1 in Children's Holiday books and Children's Halloween books
* The Portland Book Review featured Saving Halloween in their December issue calling it "a darling story of learning and accepting who you are"
* I released Dream Team in September, the second book in my chapter book series, the Dream Seeker Adventures. Fright Flight, the first book, won a FlamingNet Top Choice Award
* I visited with over 1,100 students through author school visits, inspiring kids to read and write
* In October, I was on the front page of the Beaverton Valley Times
* Oregon Live interviewed me on Halloween!
* This fall I started mentoring young writers through the Raleigh Hills Publishing House
* Also this fall, I began a regular column, The Literary Corner, in the Beaverton Resource Guide community paper, highlighting local authors, books and literary programs
Thank you for buying my books and reviewing my books. Thank you for reading my books and telling others about them. Thank you for inviting me to visit with your students. All through the year, but especially at this time of year, I'm thankful for you.
Happy Holidays!
