Starz’s Fair Play ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ Completed Third Season!

I am a loyal fan of David S. Goyer’s Da Vinci’s Demons started back in 2013 completed by this October 2015. Goyer who is none less than the re-birth of Da Vinci himself in his creation of Da Vinci’s Demons. It’s too much of a good thing for a fair play.

“While ending Leonardo’s journey is bittersweet for me, I’m happy we’re ending the story on a high note. Leonardo was famous for his mirror-writing, and there’s a symmetry to the entire series — between the first episode and the final one — that I think the maestro would have appreciated,” said Goyer.

Poster: Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz)

For last one decade, Starz has given many surprises to its growing audience. There is a huge demand of TV shows raising online. I am living in a remote town at the end of the world, Da Vinci’s Demons is the best gift to me. Starting from the first episode, it has a continuous development and interesting new characters. It produces high curiosity to see what’s coming the next? The final season has closed makes my heart stand on respect. But it cannot be the end here. This renaissance will grow up higher and higher. I am interested to know the mystery of Monalisa’s painting, unsolved!

Watch Da Vinci’s Demons it’s an interesting and unforgettable creation. If you are an art lover, I guarantee you will like this.

Always love,

Vikram

Basirhat Durga Puja Festival – The Art of Sculpting

Durga (Sanskrit: दुर्गा Durgā “Invincible”) also known as Devi Shakti (the goddess of power) in Hinduism.

I made a vacation at home and get the flavour of Durga Puja this October 18-23 in 2015. It was a quite surprise to me and I explored various unknown facts about Durga Puja festival in Bengal.

I was trying to deep dig the myth and origin behind this Bengal festival. How it becomes so grand? Bengali Durga Puja has a mysterious history, the first such Puja was organised by Raja Nabakrishna Deb of the Shobhabazar Rajbari of Calcutta in honour of Lord Clive in the year 1757. The puja was organised because Clive wished to pay thanks for his victory in the Battle of Plassey. He was unable to do so in a Church because the only church in Calcutta at that time was destroyed by Siraj-ud-Daulah. Indeed, many wealthy mercantile and Zamindar families in Bengal made British officers of the East India Company guests of honour in the Pujas. The hosts vied with one another in arranging the most sumptuous fares, decorations and entertainment for their guests. This was deemed necessary since the company was in charge of a large part of India including Bengal after the battles of Plassey and Buxar. vide Wikipedia

Albeit recently in 2011 Shobhabazar Rajbari declined this history for an unknown reason.

Personally, I took interviews of Durga puja organisers, brahmanas, and highly educated elders in the neighbourhood separately to originate the history about this grand festival. But I got no clue from them. No one able to tell about exact facts or the history of origin about Durga Puja. The question is,

1. Why Durga Puja festival becomes the grand in West Bengal?

2. When was it first started?

3. What evidence or literature we have to establish the origin of Durga Puja Festival in West Bengal?

Two Roads : A Poem

I walked down a new road.

Full of beauty and leisure,

There was a hole in the footpath. I slipped in.

Filth, mud, and garbage inside.

I stand up waste and weak.

It was not me. Shame.

I walked down the same road.

Full of beauty and leisure,

I pledged not to see them this time.

There was the hole in the footpath. I slipped in again.

I cannot believe I was in the same filth.

It was not me. Shame.

I walked down the same road again.

Albeit my eyes were open,

There was that hole in the footpath.

However, I felt in . . . It became a habit.

It was my weakness.

I went out quickly. Shame.

Today, morning I started walking for the same destination,

I know, I cannot control myself,

I am the responsible for my did.

Deep down in my heart I feel, I am wrong.

I wanted to change my bad habit,

I decide to walk another road.

“Common Sense Is Not So Common” – To Sell… Be A Street Smart!

An interesting topic I read on Linkedin today “Being Street Smart Seller” written by Nagesh P M, Assistant Manager – Marketing at (Quest Informatics Private Limited). Literally, I meet Street Smart sellers in everyday walk of my life. Till date, I travelled at the streets and markets of 18 states and 3 national territories in India. I am a discoverer who witnessed present-day Indian Business, Market, Food and Culture closely from various levels of viewpoint.

The street smarts always caught my attention! Sometimes their slogan, sometimes their announce tone and sometimes on the television commercial. From the streets of Delhi to the highways of Kanyakumari, from the Gateway of India to Howrah station, I cannot forget many of those anonymous sellers.

An anonymous street smart seller was yelling at Delhi-Ghaziabad Local,

“Buy these pair of shoes and you don’t need to walk… these new shoes will make your way.”

At Howrah station, a guy was selling books,

“Buy a book, which can be your friend throughout the journey. You can read, site, and use it as a pillow.”

Then another anonymous guy at Sealdah Market,

“Apples are raining in this rainy season… buy apple only Rs. 40 / half kg.”

He was selling more apples than the seller seated next to him saying

“Apple Rs. 80 / kg.”

It’s indeed a lesson which we should learn from the street smarts. This is “What They Don’t Teach You At Harvard Business School“. It’s a talent how you can influence the attention of your client in the trade by words? If the product range is too high or a concept selling then you should be street smarter to count on your every word! You should know how to win, playing with the word puzzles. That’s what companies pay advertisers to get the common audience interest too.

Selling a specific brand of toothpaste to 3.2 crore families every year in India, presenting revised version of similar ads, battering phrases like “family doctor” or “dentist’s No. 1 brand”, hope you acknowledged which “street smart” brand I am talking about?

सरस्वती (Sarasvatī) : A Painting!

सरस्वती is the deity of speech, arts, music, knowledge, and mind power. सरस्वती is also called ‘Vacdevi’ the goddess of speech and communications. She revealed the languages in the world. Goddess सरस्वती is depicted as a beautiful woman dressed in pure white representing purity; sits on a white swan symbolizing the cosmic knowledge. In her hands she holds a veena through the strings of which flows all creativity, a book symbolizing the four Vedas (the source of knowledge of the Hindu philosophy); a crystal chain representing the power of meditation, and a pot of sacred water to purify human mind.

Sarasvatī Meditation Chant:

The Shadow Dreamer

The moon caught his eyes, too bright

Sleep was not coming at night.

After trying too hard

Finally dozed at the morning

Can not remember, what was the time?

A man walked silently inside his dream

He had purple heart was burning in flame,

He had golden teeth and shiny claws,

Giggled like a hyena frightened and caught.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha…!” The man made the sound!

The dreamer took a pillow and sealed his eyes,

Started sleepwalking to save his soul,

Spotted some people were seating distance by fire,

He wanted to run towards them,

But the shadow hunted them all within a blink.

He can not sleep like a baby tonight,

In his dream, it was not everything alright,

The man was coming for him

Can not run, the man was quick,

He stood up and got an iron rod nearby.

“Wait, wait, let him come closer”

He played hard the iron rod with full courage and strength,

The shadow man disappeared into smoke.

He jumped upon his bed and cheered up “hurrah!!!”

His little sister was playing at his room asked, “what happened?”

Always love

Boohoo, we do not laugh… we do not laugh!”

“It’s all drama!”

A friend of mine says, “it’s all drama!”

When you feel angry, tear up and become helpless,

Maybe some unknown people betray you!

“Why are you bothering me, you are nobody in this world?”

Sometimes a group of rascals think, because of them the world is running.

Does the world ever stop running because of them?

Sometimes people think, they are the system!

They just broke the existing ones, but never able to make a better world!

Today you can stop me because you are superior.

You have power, but the monarch do exists and falls.

The system will not change because of the celebrities becoming dictators.

“It’s all drama”, this is what my friend says. Screenshot 2015-09-17 10.03.30
