I'm sorry, but there is no ot…moreI think the only reason writer's get block is because they believe in that dictate that says "you must write every day." I'm sorry, but there is no other profession in the world where the dictate is that you must do it every day! This is good advice for beginning writers who need to develop discipline. But after that, I think writer's block comes because the writer is burned out and needs to take a break! So take a break! Step away! Leave it alone! Go do something else and let the story gel behind the scenes. Suddenly you'll be doing dishes or driving down the road and the story will start to percolate again on it's own. (less)
