Well... I've no idea if this has anything to do with our little campaign, but Amazon have just announced they're doing pre-orders!!

"Hello,We're excited to announce that you can now make your new books available for pre-order in Kindle Stores worldwide. With a few quick and easy steps you can create a pre-order page up to 90 days in advance of your book's release date--your pre-order product page will be created within 24 hours. When you make your book available for pre-order, customers can order the book anytime leading up to the release date you set. We will deliver it to them on that date.
One advantage of using pre-order is that you can start promoting your Kindle book pre-order page on Author Central, Goodreads, your personal website, and other places ahead of its release to help build excitement for your book. Also, pre-orders will contribute toward sales rank and other Kindle Store merchandising ahead of release, which can help more readers discover your book.
Visit your KDP Bookshelf to set up your new book for pre-order.

"Best regards,
The Kindle Direct Publishing Team
Questions? Learn more about pre-order on our Help page."

I'll be getting this ready today, so hopefully it should be available on Amazon as a pre-order by tomorrow. Exciting!!

A huuuuge thank you to everyone who wrote to Amazon - I reckon we must have tipped the balance on this!

Have I put enough exclamation marks in here?!!

I'm still trying to get Voices of Blaze onto Amazon as a pre-order, but I need your help! If you haven't done it already, here's how to persuade Amazon to stock my latest book before its release date...
If you do a search on Amazon for "Voices of Blaze", nothing useful will come up. But if you scroll to the bottom, there's a box that says: "Search Feedback: Did you find what you were looking for?"
Tell them "No," and then fill in the box, telling them about how amazing The Fireblade Array is (:-)) and that they really ought to carry an electronic, *kindle* pre-order of Vol 5 just like the other bookstores.
If enough people do this, we might gain enough traction for Amazon to let me list the book early and offer the same deal to all my readers.
Thanks everyone for your help so far!

I'm still waiting for the pre-order deal to appear on Kobo and Barnes & Noble. Will update with a post here and on Facebook when it does.
Until then, are there many Amazon users out there? At the moment, Amazon do not allow pre-order sales for most indie publishers - that is, unless some helpful readers can convince them it's worth their while.

Here's what I suggest - if you do a search on Amazon for "Voices of Blaze", nothing useful will come up. But if you scroll to the bottom, there's a box that says: "Search Feedback: Did you find what you were looking for?"

Tell them "No," and then fill in the box, telling them about how amazing The Fireblade Array is (:-)) and that they really ought to carry a pre-order of Vol 5 just like the other bookstores. If enough people do this, we might gain enough traction for Amazon to let me list the book early and offer the same deal to all my readers.

I think it's worth a try, if nothing else. Amazon does like to please its customers to keep you all coming back!

Fireblade Array Characters - A Pronunciation Guide

There really is no right or wrong way to pronounce them, but some have asked how I hear/say the names of the characters in The Fireblade Array. Bear in mind that I sound like an English southerner (mostly) and that my 'r's sound flat rather than rhotic (e.g. "art" would probably sound like "ahht" to a North American). I've written this with the non-rhotic, English 'r' in mind. I probably should have done this with the proper phonetic letters (like the stuff they have on Wikipedia), but that was too much work!
In any case - here is your handy, pull-out guide:

Artemi - ART-em-eeShortened versions: Tem and Temi (TEM-ee)
Morghiad - MOR-gee-add (with a hard 'g' as in 'get')Shortened version: Mor
Silar - SEE-lar (yeah, that's surprised a few of you!!)Shortened version: Si (see)
Medea - med-EY-ahShortened versions: Med and Medi (MED-ee)
Tallyn - TAL-inShortened version: Tal
